Explain your comment, Simpleton. I have admitted that racism exists within the white race as well as all other races.

Like I said... this movement and others like it are ginning up misguided rage that will lead to the death / execution of more people like Officer Goforth and your dumbass thinks this movement was a long time coming.

BLACK LIES MATTER? Former NFL Star Busted Lying About Police In Traffic Stop

In case you missed the story the first time around, Lathon made the following claim about the stop.

The Pearland Police Department is investigating a claim by a former Houston Oilers star who says an officer pulled a gun on him during a routine traffic stop.

Pearland PD is talking to the officer involved and checking his dash cam and body camera footage before commenting on the claim.

But to Lamar Lathon, the incident is a sign of our tense times.

“Completely terrified, completely terrified,” said Lathon.

It’s not an emotion Lathon knows well. He’s used to terrorizing others on the football field, as an Oilers Pro-Bowler and University of Houston football star.

But, he says he feared for his life during a late-night traffic stop Monday night at FM 2234 and Almeda in Pearland.

“I reached for my license, which I keep here in my console, and he immediately drew his weapon,” said Lathon.

The console was below Lathon’s seat. The Pearland police officer’s gun, he says, was pointed in his face.

“I was like, ‘Guys, what’s going on, what’s the problem. Have you lost your mind? Why are you pulling a gun on me?’” said Lathon. “I proceeded then to give him my license. He holstered his weapon.”

Lathon is clearly playing to the pro-criminal movement known as “Black Lives Matter” with inflammatory rhetoric suggesting that a police officer pulled a gun and pointed it at his face for merely being a minority male. He stops just short of claiming it was a “hands up, don’t shoot” moment.

    But here’s what really happened.

Pearland police released a timeline and dashcam video of a traffic stop of former NFL player Lamar Lathon after his claims that he was mistreated by the officer. Lathon, 47, was pulled over for speeding in the early hours of Tuesday morning at the intersection of Shadow Creek Parkway at Almeda Road. Pearland police said the former Houston Oilers player was talking on his cell phone when the officer approached and asked for his license and registration.

The officer three times told Lathon not to reach under his car seat, but he did, police said. The officer then drew his weapon and again told Lathon not to reach under his seat, according to police. When Lathon brought his hands back into view with his wallet, the officer holstered his weapon, police said. Pearland police said the officer returned to his vehicle.

Once a second officer arrived, the first officer asked Lathon to exit the vehicle. Lathon, according to police, can be heard in the video saying, “With all the stuff that’s happening and I’m a big guy and you’re a little guy.” Lathon got out of the vehicle and the officer told him he was going to search the car for weapons. Lathon objected because the officer pulled a gun on him and he was only reaching for his wallet. The officer searched the car, then gave Lathon a speeding ticket.

Pearland police released a statement that read, “Based on review of the video footage, it is the position of the Pearland Police Department that the response of the officers involved in this traffic stop was professional and within both the law and policies of this agency. The primary officer was tactically aware, maintained control of the scene and attempted to de-escalate a volatile situation brought on by a driver who refused to follow directions and whose primary complaint seemed to be the issuance of a citation.”

Pearlland Police Officers Association is demanding a formal apology from Lathon.

The Pearland Police Officer’s Association, representing 145 Pearland Police Officers, calls on Lamar Lathon to apologize for his inaccurate and inflammatory mischaracterizations of his treatment by the Pearland Police Department during a traffic stop.

Mr. Lathon was stopped on September 1 for driving 65 MPH in a 50 MPH zone. In statements later made to the media, Lathon stated that the officer’s gun was “aimed at this face.” Newly released dash cam video clearly refutes Lathon’s assertions. As a matter of fact, the officer only drew his weapon after Lathon repeatedly refused to follow his instructions to not reach under the driver’s seat.

“It is very disappointing that during these difficult and challenging times, a public figure such as Mr. Lathon would attempt to divide the community and law enforcement.” “This is not a perception issue about what transpired during the traffic stop, it is an outright lie.” said John DeSpain, President of the Pearland Police Officer’s Association.

As a former NFL Pro Bowler, Lathon is looked up to and considered a role model by many in the community. Mr. Lathon needs to take ownership of words and actions, and apologize to the men and women of the Pearland Police Department that fearlessly protect and serve their community in these very dangerous times.

They are certainly due an apology, and Mr. Lathon should be ashamed at his attempt to further inflame minorities against police after the recent rash of murders by pro-criminal supporters of the Black Lives Matter movement.

    Stepping in here.

1.) The movement wasn't created BECAUSE of Michael Brown but Trayvon Martin.

2.) More white people are killed by cops because there are more white people in the country. Also, they are not excluded from the movement. Many of the protests include non-black people. The % do not favor this argument at all.

3.) Whether the founders are racist or whatever doesn't invalidate the issue here. Just because a few black panthers were militant and racist didn't invalidate the Civil Rights fight. #Blacklivesmatter doesn't have a membership, you just hashtag it it put it on a sign and represent it for better or worse.

    1) That was a tragedy but faux outrage as well. Trayvon Martin attacked an armed man and was unfortunately shot because of it.

    2) Any life matters so why not include all races in the name of the movement.

    3) Most of the incidents in this movement were invalid to begin with. That's the crux of the problem. Review each incident objectively and respond appropriately to those where the Police actually did wrong. Police lives matter too.

1.) What many forget was that a man (Zimmerman) was going to get off scotch clean after leaving another person dead in the street. The "Faux" outrage as you call it was a shout for Zimmerman to face a judge. Now, if your argument is about the outrage after the verdict we can probably agree.

2.) Of course all lives matters, but you interpret the slogan as racist. "Only Black Lives Matter." when instead it is meant as "Black Lives Matter TOO" even the founders who are questioned as racist say as much. Also though, other races do join in on the protests. You can argue the name should be more inclusive as over eager policing is a issue in the USA for everyone, but the name itself isn't racist.

3.) The problem is the issue of people getting killed by police and police not facing fair judgement. That is all and that is it. Those who oppose this are just fine with police killing whoever and not being questioned with it are giving police way too much power.

    WHITE COPS MURDER?

Ex-Cop Michael Slager Remains in Custody in Walter Scott Murder Case for Now
    http://abcnews.go.com/US/expect-bond-hearing-cop-michael-slager-walter-scott/story?id=33656307

The former policeman accused of murdering an unarmed man as he ran away remains in jail while a judge considers his request to be released on bond.

Former police officer Michael Slager, 33, fatally shot Walter Scott, 50, after a traffic stop in North Charleston, South Carolina, in April. He was arrested and charged with murder on April 7, three days after he shot Scott.

During Slager's bond hearing today, his attorney asked for house arrest. The judge said he took the request under advisement and will rule on the motion later.

Slager faces a possible 30 years to life without parole if convicted. Prosecutor Scarlett Wilson has declined comment on the case outside of the courtroom.

The former North Charleston police officer's attorney, Andy Savage, said his client should be released on bond in alignment with similar cases in South Carolina. A motion filed Tuesday by attorneys for Slager included court documents showing other defendants in Charleston County who have been charged with murder but released on bond. Savage said this was an on-the-job incident, and Slager has no prior incidents, which gives him another advantage towards bond.

Savage told ABC News Wednesday enhanced video shows a fight between the two men at today's bail hearing. Savage alleges that at one point during the altercation, Scott was in possession of Slager’s Taser. The enhanced video, obtained by ABC News, lasts four seconds and makes it difficult to tell exactly what happened leading up to the shooting.

The release of cellphone footage shot by an eyewitness had a direct effect on Slager's arrest, police said immediately after. It showed Scott’s running away from the officer when he was shot multiple times.

but I thought cops get away with committing crimes. This article doesn't indicate that. My argument isn't that there aren't bad cops out there so this is pointless, my argument is that making it that cops are the biggest problem in the black community is a ****ing joke.

    WHITE COPS MURDER... AGAIN?

White South Carolina police chief sentenced to home detention in killing of unarmed black man

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — A white former police chief will have to spend a year under home detention but won't have to serve any prison time in the 2011 shooting death of an unarmed black man.

Prosecutors agreed Tuesday to drop a murder charge against 38-year-old Richard Combs, the former police chief of the small town of Eutawville, in exchange for his guilty plea to misconduct in office. The murder charge carried a penalty of 30 years to life.

Circuit Judge Edgar Dickson suspended a 10-year prison sentence for Combs as long as he completes his home detention and five years of probation.

Combs stood trial twice on the murder charge, but both cases ended with hung juries. Defense attorney Wally Fayssoux said Combs was ready to end a four-year ordeal.

"My client is financially and emotionally exhausted," Fayssoux said.

Bernard Bailey's family told the judge he was a good man who stayed out of trouble and was targeted for arrest by an officer who was on a power trip, which set the tragedy in motion.

"We have been on a mission of justice. We know the outcome of this trial will not help Walter. But perhaps it will help some other family, some other young man," said Bailey's sister, JoAnn Bailey-Lawton.

Eutawville suspended Combs after the shooting and dismissed him several months later. The town reached a $400,000 wrongful death settlement with Bailey's family.

Combs shot Bailey in May 2011 as he tried to arrest him on an obstruction of justice charge weeks after he argued about his daughter's traffic ticket on the side of a highway. Eutawville is a town of 300 people about 50 miles southeast of Columbia.

Bailey came to Town Hall to discuss the ticket and Combs told him he was under arrest. Bailey stormed out and got in his pickup truck and Combs followed, authorities said.

Bailey was shot three times as he backed his truck out. Prosecutors said Combs was trying to arrest Bailey on a trumped up charge, was not threatened and could have stepped out of the way.

Combs testified he was leaning into Bailey's pickup and had just seconds to react. They said he had no pepper spray or stun gun, which left him no option but his gun. He was the only officer in the town.

Combs had been a police officer for several jurisdictions for 10 years after serving time in the Marines. He won't be a law officer again, Fayssoux said.

"He has to completely start over. He was branded a racist," Fayssoux said after the hearing. "All of that wasn't true."

Combs' guilty plea to the lesser charge was a good outcome because it punishes him for "a totality of poor judgment," Solicitor David Pascoe said.

The jury in the first case voted 9-3 to convict Combs. The jury in the second case voted 8-4 to convict, with four jurors wanting to convict Combs of murder, four wanting to convict him of voluntary manslaughter and four who thought he was not guilty, Pascoe said in a hearing at the Orangeburg County courthouse.

Fayssoux said he thought the juries were leaning even closer to an acquittal for Combs, but didn't give numbers.

Combs was one of four South Carolina police officers charged with felonies for on-duty shootings in the past year. The officers in the other three cases are awaiting trials.

Yeah, that some cops are indicted for crimes doesn't mean all police crimes are prosecuted. That's pretty damn obvious actually. And nobody says cops are the biggest problem in the black community, they're just a really big freaking problem. Your argument is stupid.

If the BLM put half their energy in cleaning up the community from drugs and violence then they wouldn't be seen as a joke and actually would help a lot but it's always easier to blame someone else for their problem.

Zimmerman was found NOT GUILTY. No charges were brought against Officer Wilson who, in fact, was attacked by Michael Brown. Eric Garner shoved officers away and resisted arrest. His death was a tragedy. The man who ran away from the traffic stop and was shot in the back was also an over-reaction by the police. He should have just surrendered and the cop should never have drawn his weapon. He is a murderer.

Yeah, we tend to blame police brutality on police. It's you that has taken on a white victimhood position to change the subject.

Because everyone already knows that all lives matters except black lives.

You are such a moron. The media doesn't care when a black person gets shot not until it became an issue. Only white lives matters. The movement is about saying that black lives matter too.

But people like you are too stupid to get that.
