Harden and Westbrook’s statistical case to the throne is about as impressive as they come. First, the duo ranks number one in points and assists per game while scoring the highest percentage of their team’s overall points per game. They also have averaged a league-best 61.9 points and 14.4 assists per game this season. While Harden and Westbrook pour in the points and assists like no other duo, they also grade out well in advanced metrics. The two have combined for the third-best player efficiency rating and fourth-highest Win Shares of any pair currently in the bubble. Top 5 Duo’s in NBA Bubble by Win Shares & PER Win Shares 1. LAL (19.8) 2. MIL (17.8) 3. MIA (16.6) 4. HOU (15.8) 5. UTA (15.2) PER 1. LAL (54.2) 2. MIL (53) 3. HOU (49.9) 4. LAC (47.2) 5. DAL (47) The two even grab more boards than the Clippers wing combo of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. That’s exceptional company to keep for a supposedly “not top 10” duo. https://spacecityscoop.com/2020/07/...stbrook-harden/amp/?__twitter_impression=true
Max Kellerman, Colin Cowherd ... I know the NBA season is back. @tinman But yeah, same guy that said Houston was going to miss the playoffs.
Wow! Just dropped Harden & Westbrook’s names as better statistics than his personal pick then moves on like H&W are not even basketball players. He has NO credibility at all.
oh man, are we going to get a thread for each time there's a hot take - can we just combine them into one thread @Clutch ?
Oh lawd - somebody done dissed the Rockets! Lets all lose our crap about it... lol! After all, I have dubbed the current overall climate in the country as 'the age of rage' - everybodys gotta be pissed about something or somebodys actions or inaction or opinion, or whatever... RAGE!!!!! lol but yeh, it is a pretty stupid take... but its all about getting attention and clicks... and it was enough to get a thread on CF... lol
LOL...OMG. I know he really hates Westbrook, but to embarrass yourself with such an asinine omission is some deep, deep hatred for Westbrook. Wow.
If you know who DeAnthony Melton or Kevin Huerter or Torey Craig are then you're too good for these shows. If you know what PER or VORP or RPM stand for this is not for you. Just stop watching these casual talk traps. We are not the target audience. It's like the WWE of basketball.
CC: Houston's interesting. Westbrook was great yesterday. Houston benefited from 4 1/2 months off. Westbrook/Harden are ball-centric. We've seen this happen several times last couple of years, by the 2nd round, they're worn out. Neither have ever been great defensive players but yesterday both were good. It remains to be seen if they can beat good teams 4 times in a week. Westbrook is so erratic and intense that the Rockets are two teams. Great win against the Lakers and an ugly loss. Great win against the Bucks and an ugly loss. Played the Clippers 4 times. They split. Houston had horrible losses this year. L by 20 to Orlando, Charlotte, Knicks, 30 to Phoenix, Detroit. This is what they are. Last night you got the good Houston. My question is the roller coaster element of Houston gone? They looked refreshed. It's how they beat Dallas & Milwaukee. Late in the game when we've seen Harden & Westbrook unravel, they were fantastic. It's not that they won the 2 games, it's how they won. They're great but unravel at the end of games, end of series. They were the better team only for about the last 5 minutes of both games. This is the team benefiting from the bubble. They're a split personality. Yesterday, you got the really good personality. They can beat anyone in the league. Can they do it 4 times? I'm not sure but time off benefited them.
They’re locked in. Like the 2018 team locked in. In many ways they are even scarier than that team. There is also no team that comes close to that Warriors team. They are getting sorely out rebounded, but I think they will figure out a way to overcome that.
Fortunately, this isn't the NCAA and no opinion-based voting impacts who has a shot to win the title at the end. So, enjoy the arguments, just don't get too worked up over it.
I'm not sure what's worse - leaving Harden and Russ off the list completely, or putting Kemba and Jayson that high. Either way, clickbait. And OP got baited.
Man Harden is the league leader by a good margin in win shares and yet as a duo they are only 4th. Still have PTSD from Westbrook’s first 30ish games. Glad that completely turned around. One day we can hope that the sports audience will realize that info on hot takes do not equal reality and are there solely for views.
