hard no on thibs. I'm still mad at JVG for trying to turn Steve Francis into Charlie ward.

Harden has a far better work ethic than McQuit. Players before this generation could play 45+ minutes in the playoffs with high intensity and still contribute.

That YT thumbnail looks like 3 homeless dudes found over-ear headphones and started talking to each other.

if anyone actually wants Thibs as the next HC, then they need to hand over their basketball card immediately

Is it a coincidence that both these guys had severe substance addiction? To no fault of Van Gundy and aside from the basketball game perspective, it is an open ended comment with Francis on "" and Ward known for his alcoholism... It's sad all around.

considering the awkward low scores and boring choking low-tempo style of games van gundy brothers fascinated about, this league which in badly need of well-production beautiful games to nail audiences in their couches might reluctant to release 'notorious' van gundy brothers moving their asses off the commentator seats to spoil any single prime time national broadcast game.
On the contrary, mda's free flow n up-tempo high-scoring games are much much more entertaining, also in a timely manner, can be a real 'cash cow' model for any team, businessman feritta should not fail to smell the difference as well as loads of $$$$ behind it.

I’m surprised anyone would want to play for Thibs. He’s a fat fuq who looks like the type of person that thinks he knows everything. I can’t imagine how he doesn’t rub these stud athletes the wrong way. Hard no on that mofo...

Still got luv for JVG though. Yeah his offenses sucked but bear in mind, he never had much talent outside Yao and TMac when he was around. He’s a bright guy, I believe he knows the game has changed a lot and would likely adapt or maybe even defer.

Francis couldn’t shoot and he lacked the IQ. I agree that JVG didn’t bring out the best in him but we weren’t going anywhere w/ Francis anyway.

The Rockets play a lot like Thibs coaching all ready with player usage rate. MDA’s 7 or short 8 man rotations are the same thing by another name.

Thibs was bad. He had Noah shooting jumpers and Taj Gibson posting up.

Next coach must be able to check ALL the boxes:

    -Harden and Westbrook approved.
    -Work for cheap
-Let Morey dominate him - “run the team system”.

This puppet / coach must also bring value, too. John Lucas is already here. Lucas knows probably how not to get fired by now.

Charlie Ward had substance addiction or alcoholism? I cannot find anything on this.

Yes he did. He was and still might be an alcoholic.

I think it was Charles Oakley that influenced and got him on the booze.

Thinking back on the JVG years... wasnt the whole premise something like with Yao and TMac we had a certain amount of high % buckets at our disposal... so the fewer possessions (and lower scoring/slower game) was supposed to favor us due to our greater efficiencies?
A slow grind it out offense coupled with good defense was supposed to benefit us...
as opposed to getting and giving easy buckets in transition and so forth...
Seems like this premise would be ideally suited for Harden...
Fewer possessions, grind out the clock, with higher efficiencies...

Of course, thats all predicated upon playing good defense so as to not allow the other team to have an equally or greater high efficiency...

It wouldnt be/wasnt pretty... but folks around the league b**** about our brand of basketball anyway... and id rather win ugly than lose pretty... imo...

Exactly! Typically folks only look at the stars regarding minutes... but with MDA its the PJs and Arizas that really get taxed on minutes
