How many rings would the 90s Bulls have if they played in 80s, 00s, 10s?

I don't really understand your original post, but I'll try anyway.

In the 80's you definitely needed an above average center, which the 90's Bulls did not. In fact, out of the 6 the Bulls won, they did not face a decent center in any series. Even in 1991, they got the Lakers after Kareem retired (and other key players were aging and injured). That combo of a young Vlade and a shortish Mychal Thompson was the best center rotation they faced in a Finals. The rest of the true centers in order of effectiveness: Kevin Duckworth, Greg Foster (twice), Mark West/Oliver Miller, and Frank Brikowski. Not exactly a murderer's row. If you can't exploit the one glaring team weakness the Bulls had, their perimeter advantage and Grant/Rodman's defense on power forwards were enough to win.

I don't see them beating prime Celtics or Lakers in a 7 game series. Those would not be favorable matchups for the Bulls.

I'll try. They obviously were good enough to win in any decade, but would not have been as dominant, I don't think.

They would have had to share titles with the Showtime Lakers and the Celtics. Their own team took 3 years to beat that nasty Pistons team...so I think they'd win 1-2 in the 80s.

They win their 6 in the 90s. I'm not so sure they win in 93/94 even if Jordan plays, and not even because of the Rockets...I think a mentally exhausted Jordan after their first three-peat doesn't make it past the Pacers or Knicks in 94. And they didn't make it out WITH Jordan in 95. So I'll stick with the 6 they won in the 90s.

In the 00s, they have the same problem as the 80s. There are two other dynastic type teams. I think Kobe/Shaq can beat them, and I won't put anything past the Spurs' machine. I think they get 1-2 in the 00s. I don't know if they would have had an answer for prime time Shaq paired up with Kobe and Wade.

In the 10s, they'd be up against Super Teams. Again, they win 1-2, but they have to split Championships with Super Teams in Miami, perhaps the single greatest assembly of talent in GS, and not to mention the Spurs still had a machine.

 

I don’t totally understand the question. The 90s Bulls did play in the 80s. They got beat by the Pistons every year.

Olujuwon lost to Celtics in a finals.

Bulls would struggle in 80s in head to head match with Celtics for sure.

 

I don't know if they would struggle against the Celtics. Remember that the only black players on that team were Robert Parish and Larry Bird.

 

dunno if bulls could win in the 00s. the east was packing srs heat in that decade, and dare i say, probably the strongest its ever been in history.

Chicago struggled more poorly than rockets early in Jordan career.

If olajuwon lost to Celtics in six games then don't think that bulls team would have it easy against the 1980s teams like Celtics.

Bulls needed seven games and barely slipped past pacers in ecf back in 1998.
