Would Montrezl thrive here?

I’m wondering, let’s say we’d trade for him today to come off the bench to be our 4/5 man, would he be the monster he is for LAC? Would he be used the same? Would MDA be able to get the best out of him or would he probably be worse?

I’m really wondering and I’d say it’s unlikely he’d be as good here with our spread out system but maybe MDA would adjust and make him a roll man for WB/ Harden and he’d be unstoppable.

    What do you all think?

yes. it was a shame we let him him go.

he's not being traded and if he is, it won't be here.

No. Rockets are one of worst teams developing young talents. They even can’t get some burn with 7 players rotation.

“MDA” and “adjust” in the same sentence? Rofl

There’s no chance he’d thrive here. He’d never get traded here anyway.

Of course he would be, he was already productive when he was here. He would be used mostly the same minus the 2-3 post ups per game. Maybe even more pnr than he does in LA. His minutes actually went down from his last year here to his first year in LA, despite what all the "dumbtoni would never play him" crowd are saying. I also don't like the comparison to Faried because Montrezl is 10x the defender that Faried is.

He did thrive here. We all saw it first hand.

    Clutchfans is so bizarre sometimes.

He was already here. We don't need to pretend anything.

He'd be on the bench, in the G League or already traded for a quick fix.

Missed that hou-town team which got so many players to play, so young so energetic, they even turned around the table and stunned the clippers at prime.

Go back and watch Game 1, 4 and 5 of the OKC series, and tell me if you think Nene shouldn't have gotten minutes.

Sad thing is, Nene went down vs SAS, and MDA didn't get Montrezl in there.

I don't know how Montrezl would get minutes here if Isaiah friggin' Hartenstein can't get minutes.

No, because he would never be allowed into the game.

Much like when he was here, and in the small moments he got, he produced, and never saw the court again.

Obviously Dantoni didn’t think he thrived here.

Harrell didn’t get any burn in our playoffs.
