In my opinion in 5-6 years when harden retires. Morey will leave with him. But what Tilman doesn’t realize is, those years is what Morey is best at. Accumulating assets, staying competitive, rebuilding a team thru trades.

Tillman is a bad owner. Morey is a good GM. Those things don’t fit.

when Morey leaves (not if but when) the Arockets will turn into the Knicks. I have no faith in Fertita.

Morey is hands down one of the best GMs in the league. If TIlman promotes his son, this franchise will be the next Knicks.

Tilman already said his goal is to sell the team for double why he paid for. All Tilman cares about is selling team for profit

I think Morey leaves before Harden retires. As the article notes, Morey has other passions outside of basketball. Although he still seems consumed with winning an NBA championship, I wouldn't be surprised if he gets so fed up with Tilman that he decides to call it a day. Some story will come out about how his family was like, "he just wasn't enjoying it anymore and he was angry all the time, but not in a good way." If for some reason Houston does pull it off and wins a championship, I think he leaves then too. He'll feel validated by the win and once again will see no reason to put up with Tilman anymore.

I dun think he is bad just yet.

Inexperienced is what he is and an arrogant know it all, surely, he has made it in the business world but he's got to understand sports is different.

He shouldn't have to control that much. And in sports it is all about spending and not penny pinching.

    I have faith in Fertitta.

He knows what he's doing. He's on a mural twice, man! You don't just get on a mural twice without knowing what's up.

Not building a champion though. He got Harden great. Doesnt matter if you dont surround him with the right talent and coaches.

And then Tilman will set up a revolving door of budget GMs who will keep us in mediocrity.

I fear that the Rockets will become the NBA's official poor franchise. Might as well bring in 99¢ Only Stores as the jersey sponsor.

Morey cost Tillman 7m in revenue this year, Tilman usually fires people for that.....I believe Morey's days are numbered here.

The media is trying so hard to bolster the idea that they are incompatible. Tension doesn't automatically mean disfunction.

Not surprising, especially since Morey cut into the bottom line with his tweet.

You think Harden is going to retire at age 35? da fuq.

Dude is a baller. He's going to play until he reaches Uncle Drew age.

The Hollinger and Duncan NBA show podcast had an organization ranking show the other day.

Interesting insight from a guy who just left an NBA front office.

Rockets were in Hollingers 3rd tier and said they were clearly a 1st tier organization until Fertitta bought the team.

They then went on to essentially say they didn’t think Morey would be around too much longer...

I was definitely in the wait and see group in regards to judging the new owner and it’s still early, but I’m growing less and less optimistic.
