With the signing of Thabo, the Rockets have checked a much needed box.

Now, we must must get the bigger swingman.

I know many hold out hope that Bennett will fill that role, but we really can't count on it. He might make the team.

    No, there must be another.

    Who is it?

Do you expect thabo to play meaningful minutes?

Yes, I expect him to play meaningful minutes....that is to have a big impact when he's in there...As to how many...15-17/gm or so.

That's okay sometimes, but we still need a big/athletic 3/4...

Plow, I’m convinced, based on self-conceived logic waves, that your nay our fellow awaits a mid-Dec - mid-Feb arrival date. (Or even buy-out???)

I really think Ryno for the league minimum could be a great fit. When he's not the team's 2nd highest player, I think the pressure will be off his shoulders. I still don't think he's starter material, but could give 20 minutes per game if he's confident. Morey's analytics valued him at 20 million just 3 years ago, I really think those same numbers would encourage a minimum deal today. I think Ryno would feed off of Westbrook's swag.

What about the "yips", and problems shooting in TC?

Plus, I don't want him getting jack happy....disrupting our flow/taking shots away from others.

We need length, D, and rebounding.....as well as some decent shooting from deep.(doesn't have to be RA level)

So count me out on Ryno.

We won’t address the big 4 issue, that’s my guess.

I don't think there are any legit stretch 4's left for the minimum. Gary Clark has to be the guy. He rebounds and defends pretty well. If he improves his shooting I think he will get the minutes at the back up 4. Clark, Thabo, and House backing up the 3 and 4 is growing on me.

The "yips" were for not shooting, then you say you're worried about "jack happy" and stealing shots. I agree with the yips part, but you really think he'll go from that to overshooting? And you're worried about both?

For the league minimum, he's not a risk. He was supposed to be making 20 million this season with us. Our options are slim at this point and he's basically the lowest risk, highest reward prospect who plays our weakest position. I'm not going to hold my breathe for Bennett to breakout.

We know that Ryno without the yips is a contributor and even more of a fit with Westbrook getting him 3's. Will we get pre-yips Ryno, probably not. I still think he's worth a look as much as MCW was last year. I also think Ryno was that "old face" that we've heard is on his way.

Well, yeah. Let me clarify. Ryan could shoot lights out, but he could also shoot you out of a game. That was normal Ryno. Now, throw in this reticence to let it fly...confidence gone....and you really don't know what you're getting.

If RA is right he's a bargain, but I don't trust him out there anymore.

Again, I'd rather see that spot used for a long, agile/athletic guy that can hit the boards, D up, and bust it from downtown at a reasonable rate.

I get you, but there is nobody that's going to give us all of that available, especially not for the minimum. Morey needs to find someone who is overplaying his contract because he doesn't have any money to pay for s known contributor.

Morey used to find great value players but not lately. A team really can't win a ring unless somebody gives you unexpected value. I would say last year that was Van Fleet and Siakam. Tillman and Silver have basically tied Morey's hands into dumpster diving.

Many people are holding out hope for Bennett? Lol, wow. Dude is buns. I pray to God we don’t ever have to rely on him for minutes. Yeah, we still need more help at the forward positions.
