Here are the stats of the following PGs: Steve Nash: 2003 - 2004 (before D'Antoni): 14.5 ppg, 8.8 ast Steve Nash: 2004 - 2005 (first year with D'Antoni): 15.5 ppg, 11.5 ast Very small sample size Jeremy Lin: 2010 - 2011 (before D'Antoni): 2.6 ppg, 1.2 ast Jeremy Lin: 2011 - 2012 (first year with D'Antoni): 14.6 ppg, 3.1 ast James Harden: 2015 - 2016 (before D'Antoni): 29.0 ppg, 7.5 ast James Harden: 2016 - 2017 (first year with D'Antoni): 29.1 ppg, 11.2 ast Chris Paul: 2016 - 2017 (before D'Antoni): 18.1 ppg, 9.2 ast Chris Paul: 2017 - 2018 (first year with D'Antoni): 18.6 ppg, 7.9 ast Chris played second fiddle and still had an improvement in scoring. How will Westbrook's game improve in D'Antoni's offense?
It would be interesting to see both Harden and Westbrook average 10+ assists. Highly unlikely but MDA be able to set up an offense for them to make it happen.
D'Antoni's offense is the best in regular season. Stats will be great. WB 20, 12, 12. D'Antoni's defense is the worst in playoffs. Playoffs win will be concerned. Lets say Harden and Gordon have a bad game against Clippers defense. Where is the firepower?
Amare Stoudemire and Shawn Marion? Paul is not a relevant inclusion in this though. He was slightly more efficient scoring wise as a Clipper. He just shot more in Houston for half a point more, nothing improving there. If he went to a team with D'Antoni where he was the lead guy, it would be different.
and CP3 may have added to his assist total if the other guard was spotting up and not just hanging out at half court disinterested while he was running the offense... lol
Ahhhh westbrook lol, that's what made the warriors are any super team great. Is the amount of guys that can go off. It only takes one guy. Our margin of error has got exponentially greater. Like people yall do know west can give u a 50 point game right, people really is scrubbing Westbrook rn. We will be s tough team
Based on the fact that Scrubs like Kendall Marshall and Jerry Lin all triple their production, I would say WB will go 60 points, 30 rebounds, 30 assists , per game. In other word, he's going WILT on the NBA " Marshall, who was the 13th pick in the 2012 draft by the Phoenix Suns, was awful as a rookie. He rarely got into games, and when he did, he didn't produce much, averaging only 3.0 points and 3.0 assists. To make matters worse, the point guard couldn't shoot with any consistency, hitting only 31.5 percent of his three-pointers and 32.5 percent of all jump shots. Marshall's inability to create for himself consequently made it so he couldn't create for others, leading to an assist percentage of 29.4 percent. This season has been night and day for the 22-year-old compared to the last. Marshall has found his stroke, hitting a league-leading 47.6 percent of his three-pointers and 41.4 percent of all jump shots. In turn, it's opened up the passing lanes, allowing him to find teammates and increasing his assist percentage to 45.9 percent. Instead of averaging 3.0 points and 3.0 assists, Marshall is now averaging 10.7 points and 9.8 assists. In short, he's one of the top candidates for the Most Improved Player award under the point guard guru, Mike D'Antoni, who has turned Harvard student, Jeremy Lin, into a legends" "Due to his start and his enchanting story, Kendall Marshall is being compared to another one of Mike D'Antoni's products -- Jeremy Lin. D'Antoni went from Linsanity to Marsh Madness. Before Lin signed with the New York Knicks and D'Antoni, he was in the D-League and sleeping on his friend's couch. Lin is now one of the most popular and marketable players in the league. In his 35 games under Coach D'Antoni, Lin averaged 14.6 points, 6.2 assists, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.6 steals, while shooting 44.6 percent from the field in just 27 minutes a game. Lin isn't the only point guard MDA has had success with; he has also done well with Raymond Felton, Chris Duhon, and Toney Douglas"
Lakers fan actually thought Kendall Marshall would be the point guard of their future. And compared Embidd to Thabett. LOL Welcome!! Two things about Marshall. First, I’m glad the Lakers got him at just the right time which is when they needed him the most. He is one of the very few positive things that has come out of this season. I’m just curious as to what the Lakers will do when Farmar and Blake are back…and I’m referring contractual decisions. Second, the fact that this guy was the 13th pick reminds me that he is the the rule and not the exception regarding the draft. I am not excited, as others are, about the draft because of players like Marshall whose story is so common and it is probably the most common story you hear about players drafted. They come in with such high expectation only to suck ass. It is a crap shoot. Even if you do have the first pick. Embiid or whatever that dude’s name is could be the next Thabeet.
