Since Morey is only allowed to sign minimum wage free agents, which of them can he sign to make a difference against the Warriors?

Remember to list minimum wage free agents, do not clutter this thread with unrealistically expensive taxpayer MLE players.

Maybe we can try for James Ennis again? Will Shumpert take the minimum wage to return?

Sign Dedmon for MLE and use Capela as a trade chip to improve the team

I’d bring back Trevor. He knows the system, has length, defense, can shoot threes.

Rockets need to trade CP3 and Capela for refs. Max out the officiating Luke the Warriors do to win titles every year.

I agree, if Clark learns to become useful on offense, could be a very important player for this team.

Cash Considerations would be a solid pick-up!

The guys solid on both ends of the court...

He’s the hero we need, the hero we deserve! o_O

    TMLE for Rivers.
Some potential minimum candidates: Robin Lopez, Demarre Carroll, Salah Mejri, Wayne Ellington, Wes Matthews, Wilson Chandler, LMAM, Jamychal Green, Niko Mirotic, Anthony Tolliver, Luol Deng, DeAndre Jordan, Markieff Morris, Amir Johnson, Troy Daniels, Kosta Koufos, Donatas Motiejunas, Trevor Ariza, Sam Dekker. And yes, most of them won't be minimums, but you never know, we could steal one of those.

    Our team next year

    Deandre/Hartenstein/Baynes
    PJ/ Taj gibson/JaMychael Green
    Butler/Ariza
    Harden/Gordon/Ellington
    Paul/ Corey joseph

    Rivers, Faried gonna be expensive

Capela is a trade chip to magic or hornets as they will need a C after Vucevic leaves.
I’m thinking of all the guys who will want to take the minimum or MLEs or we get acquire from our trade exceptions

Outside of the guys already have (Clark, Hartenstein) and those who we might be able to resign at the minimum (House, Faried, Green), i'd say these players might end up as minimum contracts:

    Thomas Bryant
    Jabari Parker
    Rondo
    Matthews
    Tyreke Evans
    McGee
    Markieff
    Jeff Green
    Isaiah Thomas
    Ish Smith
    Lin
    Hood
    Ellington
    Joseph
    Kidd-Ghilchrist
    Boban
    Burks
    Sefolosha
    Mudiay
    Wilson Chandler

    Some thoughts:

    1) Kidd Gilchrist is not going to opt out of a $13m player option and sign for the minimum. On that note, he just had his best 3pt shooting season ever.
    2) Thomas Bryant is going to get full NTMLE. In 20 minutes he got a block, 6.3 rebounds, shot 61/33/78%, 1.5 assists and has a 7'6 wingspan.
    3) Would love Matthews, Chandler, Ellington, Evans for anything under $3m per season.

Every year we look at these lists and hope to get our 3 favorite guys and we're sure they'll flourish. The most likely scenario is we get 1 guy who is useful in a playoff series. Hope the team is not starting off in the bargain basement.

We need to get Butler, we don't have the assets to make much else happen, and we're lucky that opt and trade is an option. Philly can pay him $182m for 5 years (after tax). We can pay him $208m over 6 years. Him starting at $20m in his first season also gives us the opportunity to gather some depth around him before the cap gets ultra tight. It's a no-brainer from a money perspective.

Watching Chris Paul struggle to score as a 2nd option, this has become a great fit. CP3 can focus on all round game (defense, passing, leadership, 3rd scorer). Harden and Butler can easily carry this team offensively.

It's not even the subject here I know but can't stop hoping for Butler to land in Houston lol

Jarrod Uthoff - he is plug and play ready, 6'9" with all the tools on both ends.

(Sure would have been nice to have Bruno on the second season of a minimum deal.)

Richaun Holmes - high energy big man with springs and more speed, quickness, and stamina than Capela. And does have a jump shot that cam be improved. If he's available at the minimum we need to hey him for two years.... that is if we'r can't get him for 3 years.

Jordan Bell - he's restricted. But if the Warriors cut him loose (doubtful) we should be first in line. (Holmes much more gettable.)

Ekpe Udoh - don't know what his market is but he's an outstanding defender. Would be a total bargain at the minimum.

Sam Dekker - he's restricted and he's knocked around. If Wizards cut him loose he'd be good value at the minimum.

Khem Birch - restricted, very similar to Rich Homes without any jumper.

Nerlens Noel - good value at the minimum

    Omri Casspi

Stanley Johnson - depending on if he's available

    Darius Miller
    Ian Clark
