Not Really Rockets Fans

    I've noticed that some of you or a few of you(or one) aren't Rockets fans, but instead Rockets contrarians.

    They claim to be Rockets fans, but only want the Rockets to win so long as it's by their terms.... And only their terms can be right... if the Rockets don't win it's because they didn't do what they said... And if the Rockets simply did what they said... Then of course the Rockets would.... WIN.

    The narcissistic cycle.

    They default to whatever their arguments are even when they're not sound... And regard them as unequivocal fact even if they're not supported by reality.

    They would rather see the Rockets lose, than them win in a way they didn't predict.

    If the Rockets do win in a way they didn't predict they'll just argue they did predict it all along or one better.... They’ll simply point to fault within the opponent... "lt wasn't what the Rockets did.. It was because x, y, and z .... That player was banged up or that opposing coach didn't follow the obvious gameplan that I predicted would beat US if we chose to NOT play the way that "I" predicted to win."

    They would rather be able to claim their arguments are the key to the the Rockets success... "lt's impossible for the Rockets to win if they don't do - __________ - (asserts their gameplan or decision as fact)

    Than be wrong.

    They yearn for recognition for their special and superior bball knowledge that exceeds GMs and front offices across the land.

    So.. Thoughts on such "fans"

    coach couches and GARM GM’s can be so annoying when they act like they got all the answers...but the chicken littles who’s only purpose is to b*tch and are nowhere to be found when the Rockets are playing well are by far the worst

    I don't mind it so much as I understand some folks ego is bigger than texas. What is disturbing to me is under valuing any rockets player. Instead of supporting them, the 'suck' word will normally come out.

    If a Rockets win brings you joy and a Rockets loss brings you misery, then you’re a Rockets fan in my book.

    Doesn’t matter what your analysis is for why the team won/lost, and it doesn’t matter what you think about individual players.

    Well, even if you are not the perfect 'fan' you could still be a CF fan, fan of the board.
