If they leave him wide open at the 3 just pass and set a pick or drive to the rim. He is an EXCELLENT slasher/ driver to the rim.
Besides, the season is long and there is a hope he can develop that shot to get at a decent percentage, for now he is at 33% from 3 which is perfectly fine.

Game 2 will tell us a tremendous amount about MCW.

I really love aspects of his game, and I really don’t mind the shooting.

(I just wish he would settle down sometimes)

Watching him jack up shots with Harden/Gordon/Melo on the floor is not something we want long term. He needs to watch some Livingston and be a bit more selective. Still, I like him. Good effort last game.

It’s not easy to make the fade away shots Livingston does but I know you mean as far as selection is concerned. You can be very effective without a shot.. but him being an “excellent” slasher is a real stretch.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that Melo and Harden play 0 defense.

We suppose to be running it back and you out here talking about a 3rd stringer.

The problem is that a championship team needs to have a good three point shooter because it stretches the defense.

Whoever is defending MCW can now leave him at the 3 pt line and clog the lane for our other players and help on a double team.

This so true Livingston facilitates the offense when the defense gives him the three. Of course the movement by Curry and Klay makes the defense pay for slacking off of Livingston. Which makes him a threat off the pass because once he passes to a wing player he cuts to the hoop

1.we do have good 3 pt shooters... Livingston is not a 3pt shooter at all, neither was david west a good 3pt shooter and they contributed heavily on a multiple championships teams...

2 yeah if they leave him at 3pt line mcw then can attack the rim if the player leaves him a too much space.. i do it all the time

I think this would have been better as a post in an existing thread than as the basis of a new thread.

The Hornets message board was buzzing with excitement when they got the official word that MCW wasn't going to be back.

According to Nate Duncan MCW destroys the Rockets entire offense.

I see people are still trying to talk themselves into a player that has been proven to be terrible for years

    Good luck!

This guy sucks. Missing free throw and 3 points and affect the team chemistry. It makes houston looks like nets. Green is better, at least we have 3 points and defence. Harden can find green to shoot 3 looks like Ariza function
