I am sorry I get I am being pessimistic, maybe its the astros losing, but i just can't shake the feeling that this year will suck.. We lost two defensive stalwarts like Ariza (3 and D) and Luc only to get defensive nothings in MCW, BK, Kriss and Carmelo.. we dont need offense, we were good enough to put 115 ppg last year, we needed defensive specialists.. I want to be more optimistic then I was last year, but i can't be knowing CP3 is a year older, and Harden is a year older.. maybe Capela takes another step to his development and EG has a crazy year (contract year) but nothing more.. sorry about that like i said maybe its a monday, maybe its astros, but just not feeling it this year..

I just want to clarify we are not going to suck like three years ago suck.. we could be more in line with what we were two years ago (55 win team) second round and out.. which would suck.

We definitely aren't winning 65 games this year. I can see high 50's low 60's. What you're not taking into consideration is Morey. He knows what we lack, and I'm very positive he'll make mid season acquisitions for defensive purposes. We have a top 3 team in the NBA and THE top team in MLB...enjoy the ride.

Define "suck" ... this team is winning 55 games even if things go poorly. The Rockets haven't had a losing season in twelve years. Chin up!

(Also: whoa, when finding this number I noted that the Rockets have now had only three losing seasons in the last 34 years. That's a good franchise there.)

I'm most worried about Harden. Remember that year McHale got fired where Harden "played his way" through the beginning of the season? This is what I saw all preseason. I'm afraid since he finally got his mvp that he'll not be as inspired. Hope I'm wrong

my suck is last year we were right on par with the warriors... this year we could have taken a step back while they took a small step forward.. I hope Melo gives us something positive, but not sure if he will.. We could be top three team. we were clearly the number 1 team last year, and warriors got lucky with CP3 injury.. but this year we are clearly not number 1 and have digressed with both age and traded away some of our key defensive pieces.. I am a huge rocket fan and have been since I was 7 back in 1993.. Have been a rocket fan even when i moved out of houston and supported the team in other stadiums.. I know all the rockets lineups from Since 1993 season.. I am going to support the team even if they would miss playoffs like we did post hakeem, pre yao years.. I am just not very high on their off season moves.. thats all. I get saying we will suck is alarmist and maybe even idiotic (like 1 poster said) but I am comparing them to last years team.

We don’t need offense but we lost game 7 because we missed 22 straight 3’s; and went 7/44 from 3..

we lost game 7 because we didnt have Cp3 and were trying to shoot our way to victory
