    My top 3 picks:

    1. "Morey can't stop tinkering; he kept adding stars to the team with the league's best record until he ruined it."

    2. "Now everyone thinks they can be like the Warriors just by adding a bunch of great players to an already-great team."

    3. "Butler will help, but they lost WAY too much by trading Zhou and Hartenstein."

It wasn't even a funny headline either. Go home xaos, you're drunk.

    2 & 3

Between this trade and offseason departures, they've lost too much depth, too much defense which made them great last season. And if they think they can just throw a bunch of great players together & expect it to come together in one season, they got another thing coming!

Butler is overrated player, not true superstar level. More importantly Butler is poor fit in MDA offense and will also be a chemistry killer due to his selfishness and desire to be the alpha.

They lost the greatest defensive coach across all sports in the last 100 years and they think Jimmy Butler is going to fix that void? Rockets will be lucky to avoid relegation next season.

either a thinly disguised media conspiracy thread or else a thinly disguised OP-wants-Jimmy-Butler-threads-to-be-the-new-Carmelo-Anthony-threads thread

I dont think #1 is that far from reality... I think melo has mellowed out and will be a team guy... idk about jimmy buckets... I think he could really disrupt chemistry with his diva attitude...

...and we all know DM has never been one to place a high emphasis on intangibles such as chemistry... its all about if the numbers add up with him... not a dig, just where his focus typically is...

"There's only one ball- how are you going to balance selfish Harden, Chris Paul, Melo and Butler all starting?

Butler is from Tomball not Houston.

There is only one ball. Tomball.

My thinking is that it could be a repeat of Carmelo Anthony and Paul George. Two guys that aren’t natural at creating others that need to have the ball in their hands. If we give up Eric Gordon and PJ Tucker, it’s way too much for us. If we give up Gordon, we lose a valuable 3 point shooter and creator, but we get the defensive wing we REALLY need, but potentially lose a step offensively.

They will continue saying we traded the two reasons we had the best record last season: Ariza and Luc.
