Shooting a half court shot at the buzzer is a legitimate scoring attempt. Shooting a half court shot in the middle of a quarter with shot clock remaining (if that’s what you are referring to) is just a sneaky attempt to earn free throws. There is a difference, whether you think the latter deserves free throws or not.
i find your sneaky injection just a sneaky attempt to win the argument over the legitimate case i brought up. what if refs decided not to whistle hack-a- fouls justifying it that by deliberately fouling someone instead legitimately trying to stop a player is just a sneaky attempt to force a bad ft shooter to miss?
Intentional fouling already isn't allowed in some circumstances, for that very reason. Do you think intentional fouling should be treated like any other foul, at all times?
