"Bickerstaff made a strong impression on management and Grizzlies players under difficult circumstances"

Translation: JB followed the bosses instructions to tank. It's what the league has come down to. If you are not a super team then keep losing and getting draft picks until you can maybe one day be a super team yourself.

Glad the Rockets have their team set without having to go through this ordeal right now

I am happy for him. It's hard to coach a Cancer player like Howard. Mike d'antoni tried to coach him and failed hard.

First big free agent signing would be Corey Brewer

It seems like that is what they are going for. To bad they are tied up salary wise. Lol.

Must suck knowing you're the coach they want when they want to tank as hard as possible...only to get fired when it's time to turn things around. At least the money is good.

With the way he's somewhat playing with OKC, Brewer is definitely better than Joe Johnson and some other current Rocket scrubs. You gotta be honest here bro.. I'd say, with Mah Moute down, he'd make up for some gimmick defensive prowess and shooting. Gosh darnit...

he's good for a rebuilding team.

he'll be cheap (probably, i didn't look up his salary)
    he doesn't need to win
    he's a good relationship/chemistry guy (reportedly)
he's good at player development (reportedly)

once they try to win they'll need a real coach though.
