Capela, not Harden or Chris Paul, just carried that team in game 5 and into round 2 of the NBA playoffs. 26-15-1-0TO on 85.7% from the field. What a night for the young center!
Clint Capela clearly needs a great playmaker to be successful. But at this point I don't think just any tall athlete can replace what he does. His nimble finishes and gazelle like running have gotten extremely impressive.
Clint Capela is a story for the ages, started basketball in mid teen and got a struggling family background. Making into the NBA Playoffs at the same age as me, his prime and time with Rocket will be definately go in history as one of the best steal pick DMorey picked up! I respect Capela with all his might. Keep it up young blood! I have faith in him all day every day, night in and night out! #RunAsOne #LockedIn
Hack a Capela is a good option when a team is already at 4 PFs in a quarter, but it's not a major long term issue. Clint played great this series in extended minutes and is real smooth in the paint.
Why won't people realize Capela has extremely good hands for a big guy? Compare with Dwight, it's just night and day. Catching all those lobs and passes in traffic is NOT as easy as it looks. Replaceable my ass, the dude is immensely important to this team. Not to mention his rebounding, blocks, and defense which are also really solid.
Just in case folks did not notice, capela made the number 1 pick and ROY, a non factor. He did this to a franchise player. It would be like Jeff Teague matching Harden in every statistical category in all 5 games.
