Max Kellerman: Warriors' injuries to blame if Rockets win title?

I don't even know what Stephen A is arguing here. At first, he seems to be saying that injuries will be to blame if the Warriors lose in the playoffs. But does he mean if the Warriors are actually injured during the postseason? I assumed that until he said later on that he blames the current injuries for costing them the #1 seed. Then he dismisses the Rockets' injuries(which have been pretty substantial when you think about it) simply because they pre-date a discussion he and Max had a few weeks ago about who would win the #1 seed. As if only late season injuries are relevant.

It's utter nonsense.

 

They're either incredibly smart or incredibly stupid.

People are watching and discussing so I guess it's the former.

 

Warriors first title they won pretty much every team they played in the playoffs had injury issues. Injuries are part of the game and we have to deal with them too

Of course it's utter nonsense. That's what that show is all about. Utter nonsense spoken loudly and with extreme conviction.

Most of the time, neither does he. So this is not surprising.

Yep.....certainly fits the "explanation" that SAS and Kellerman are only on the show to get ratings by being controversial contrarians. I don't know if SAS truly believes the stance he's taking on the show. But his arguments used to support his premises are extremely illogical and and "double standard" that I'd have to give him the benefit that he's only doing it to gain ratings for the show.....

Here's all you need to know about the Rockets and injuries this season. When CP3, Harden, and Capela play together, they're 38-2. We've played 70 games so far this year. That means the trio has only been on the floor at the same time in 40 out of 70 games. So the Rockets have been hit by the injury bug as bad as any contender in the league(aside from the Spurs, but the Kawhi situation may not be entirely injury-related).

It's telling when Shannon Sharpe of all people is an upgrade for Skip Bayless as a co-host over Stephen A.

The best duo on these sports talk shows is easily Cris Carter and Nick Wright. Even if you disagree with their takes, they still sound coherent and informed and their voices aren't like nails on a chalkboard.
