Warriors did not play this game at its best. 1. Missing Pieces Comparison Iguodala > Ariza Iguodala signed 3 years 48 million contract last summer. Ariza is likely to sign 3 years 36 million contract this summer. Iguodala has a better court vision and better passing skills. Casspi = G Green Casspi is a very good rebounder as a wing (better than LeBron per 36 minutes). His 3-point field goal is 50%. G Green did nothing but scoring so far. 2. Additional Missing Starter: Jordan Bell Bell is the most versatile player (Rookie) who can defend multiple positions on the floor. (11 rebounds 5 assists per 36 minutes). He is worth 12 million per year per today's market. Warriors add Rookie Jordan Bell because of average age of last year's supporting casts is 34 (Iggy, Livingston, West, Zaza) 3. Curry and Thompson have a poor shooting night, not because of Rockets defense. They combined to shoot 9-of-31 from the field. They finished with 19 and eight points, respectively and missed 13 3-pointers.
James still isn't 100% Ariza > iggy Green> caspi Bell is a rookie ...so irrelevant Gordon's terrible shooting night equals out Stevo and klays Anything else ?
Taking into account all of the missing and recovering pieces on both sides, the most you can say about this game is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Just like the previous 2 meetings, this was not much of a good indication of how evenly or unevenly matched these teams are. The rockets will always be less talented when both sides are at full strength, but we have a gritty, experienced, and most importantly, smart veteran squad that has the ability to pull off an upset. Just enjoy the ride, I don't think anyone is saying that the rockets will be the favorites or evenly matched against them, but we've proven we do have the capability to beat them. Out of 7? Who know, but let's just hope we have the opportunity to find out.
