I'll take 2 cbs, 1 safety, two line men and sammy watkins just because he's from clemson. so five players to shop. cutting cushing and joseph, both which I really liked while they were texans, should make it very possible. The jaguars added a bouye from every team it seems on that defense, campbell, bouye, church later added dareus. Our defense, Fs: Hal,kjax S: Joyner,kjax Cbs: Butler, fuller, KJax, Kj, decloud LBs, Merciless, Clowney?( hand down, qb down), Mckinney, cole, cunningham,scarlet D-line, Covington, Reader, Wattney (both reader and covington were making strides but injuries happened) The most important things are the so many blown coverages with the dbs and that the football gods are forgiving with the health. no team survives 21 injuries to the most important positions, then the back ups. oh and that vrabel gets a job. Romeo was still here but no way romeo was going to even suggest to vrabel what to run. Even healthy, guys like clowney and merciless didn't know where to line up.
Is Jeff Allen going to be on this team next year? A bunch of the guys on that list are very risky - either 1 year wonders, or injury magnets. Last 1 year wonder they signed was Allen... that hasn't worked out too well. Fun Fact: Andrew Norwell went to the same high school as Greg Mancz (Anderson HS in Cincinatti, OH). I think they graduated the same year, but I'm not 100% on that. Swapping XSF for Norwell would be a major upgrade.
I’d put everything into Norwell and Butler, then see if another lineman like Pugh and Watkins wanna come.
