We have a 3 guard and overall 8-9 player rotation

while everyone else especially the top 5 teams of the league have a 4-5 guard and overall 10-13 player rotation

And with the age of our starting lineup I feel like we're at a disadvantage night in and night out as the season gets deeper and especially in the playoffs

I think we’ll add another guard at some point. We should.

rockets have a 9 man rotation. i dont see the disadvantage. thats right about where a deep team should be when you can rely on that many guys on a nightly basis

Bout the 3 guards. Thats what happen when all 3 guards are really good and all warrant big minutes.

And good teams playing with 10-13 rotations? Check again, very likey the 10th player onwards played like 3 minutes and less. That happens when its a blow out.

    @YOLO

lets not pretend others only have a 3 guard and overall 8-9 man rotation like us. that's what sets the Kerrs, Pops, and Lebron teams from the MDAs

if you guys are okay with that then fine but don't twist the facts

    * mintes played per game is the 4th metric after the player's name

GSW has at least 13 players playing non garbage minutes, Spurs 11, Boston 10, Cavs 10 without IT amd injured TThompson, Raptors 12

    Yep.

Not at a disadvantage, all that other stuff is trivial. This guard rotation is just fine. 4th guard is luxury and would get very limited playing time anyway barring injury.

Would love to replace BB but why F with this winning chemistry, besides who's good, a fit and available right now without giving up ANY player in our 9 man rotation?

Rockets have a 9-man rotation: 3 guards, 2 centers, 4 forwards/swing players. I agree they could use another guard as Harden/CP3/EG are 1-2-3 in minutes played. But for now, D'Antoni has no choice because none of the other guards are rotation-worthy and those are the Rockets 3 best players..

Also, none of the good teams has a 13-man rotation besides the Warriors, who are crazy deep.

honestly when you get after 9 alot of these teams thats just reaching. none of those guys are someone being counted on on a nightly basis. they play bc they're forced to when primary guys are out or injured. if guys like harden, cp3, gordon were out youd see the exact same thing. is that what yall want for them to miss more games

Golden State (15 man rotation lmao), Cleveland, Boston, San Antonio?

We obviously need more depth because we saw what an 8 man rotation looks like in the Playoffs last season.

you're taking a GS team as an example throughout the league. theres not a single team in the league that can match up with their depth. they have 4 all nba players in their starting lineup. try matching up with that first before getting all worried about who the 10,11, 12, 13 man on the team is

so you basically admit that yes they are 15 playoff ready deep. as compared to us 8 playoff deep.. so do you think we have a chance against them in a 7 game series after 96 straight games?

and they wont be playing that many guys so doesnt really matter to me. when you play with 4 all stars/ all nba/ and mutiple mvp players, you have the luxury of plugging in plenty of guys to do a little things for them. No other team in the league has that luxury.

the rockets are definitely 9 deep in the playoffs atleast.

OK OK. I also just noticed Ariza is actually 2nd in MPG at 34. That is too high.

There are some issues to address.

I'd say we are 10 deep, others are unreliable after that. Id trust Tariq in a back up situation if Nene went out like last year. My only wish is that we would replace Bobby for a more useful end of the bench guy, but it is what it is.

yup. im very much comfortable with those 3 and take into account a huge portion of the game will be played with small ball w/o any of those 3. thats the difference with this years rotation bc they are so much more versatile and what makes them that much better defensively with our additions
