Rockets are always "in talks" with high profile agents desperately seeking leverage for the offseason.

Kinda funny the Dwight and CP3 signings were all low key and took the media by surprise.

i hate to admit it but seeing how the rockets improved this season gives us a pretty good idea of which type of 3rd star would be the best fit.

adding cp3 showed that two stars who are willing to pass will be more dangerous than adding stars that just want to score (see OKC). tucker and moute showed us that versatility on defense while being able to spread the floor on offense is very dangerous.

when looking for a 3rd star, i'd want them to be a facilitator like paul and harden. in order to play with paul and harden that player would have to start in the front court, and as we know, we'd rather have a front court player who can defend the 3, 4, 5 to pair with tucker, ariza, and moute. it would be a death lineup with another star facilitator!

i mean, lebron is a perfect fit.

I mean where else is he going to go? The below .500 Lakers? The Sixers with non-shooting Simmons and Fultz? We are are probably the only spot that can make the math work and where he can contend... but we will see the NBA is never short on suprises.

I love the idea of a Harden, Paul, LeBron big three - but I would definitely be concerned about the depth we would lose to clear up space. Sure, Ryan Anderson would be no loss if we're replacing him with King James, but what about Ariza, Tucker, Mbah A Moute, Nene or even Capela? Who all would need to be dealt?

Speculation that you're going to another team while you're still playing with ur current team? No thanks

Lebron is a perfect fit for any team. He can do it all.

Not if it costs us Eric Gordon and Ryan Anderson.

Kyrie didn’t want to play with LeBron? Would Harden?

Who would be King James on such a team?

Well, it's not like LeBron is half-assing on his current team.

if Lebron joins Harden just as Cp3 did, Cp3 will stay at #2 and Harden at 1a and Lebron 1b

Harden's bball IQ alone >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Kyrie's bball IQ

I’d like someone smart on cap to lay out some possible scenarios so we can understand what we’re looking at.

Everyone just says DM will “figure it out”.

    Which he may.

It just seems like figuring it out would result in letting everyone walk or be traded for 0 cap space in return (which, yeah, possible I guess but we’ve tried that) except Harden, Clint and CP3.

Unless both CP3 and Lebron take huge discounts. But in CP3s case even the huge discount won’t matter a ton unless you renounce him and then have space to resign him outright to that discounted deal - instead of using his bird rights... since he’ll still count against the cap a team a big number if you want to keep his bird rights.

    But I’m noncap expert.
