Cool Houston Rockets stats of the day: Houston Rockets currently has the longest streak in NBA history of games with 18+ 3-pointers, at 5 Games. In fact, Houston holds 5 of the top 11 spots. http://stats.nba.com/search/team-streak/#?CF=FG3M*gt*18&sort=GAMESTREAK&dir=1
In perspective these stats of threes mean very little since 90% of records are from last 3-4 years but still impressive.
Much like just about every other stat that’s deemed a “record”. Don’t get me wrong I love what the Rockets are doing this year and I think Harden is the best player in the NBA (my opinion). But seriously, any stat can be arbitrarily conditioned to fit a narrative.
Rockets key stats... Pts Diff +10.8 - 1st in the league(GSW ended 73-9 season with this differential)* stat within a stat Offensive efficiency -114.7 - 2nd in the league behind GSW(0.2 behind) Defensive efficiency -103.8 - 6th in the league behind(GSW 8th) Efficiency diff-10.9- 1st in the league Strength of schedule is 2nd from last however, the schedule adjusted rating shows the rockets at 8.48 2nd in the league, so we are beating the teams we should and are 2nd best at doing it behind GSW. Adjusted four factor - 3rd in the league .075 behind Sixers(.081) and GSW(.148) So no BullShit just facts, with all this being said, the rockets are a damn good team. Only other team as good is GSW we still hold a slight edge in projected winning percentage.(not by just calculating based on trending out) take that for data
Last 5 games(CP3 back) 1st, 1st, 2nd, 1st respectively top four stats up above...beating all five teams by an average of 20.8!
The Rockets are also the only team to hit 15+ threes in 6 consecutive games, and they've done it twice, and both streaks occurred in this month! If you take out the Toronto game (the only game they lost in the month of November), they have hit 15+ threes in 12 consecutive games.
Kelly Scaletta @KellyScaletta More nuggets. Since Chris Paul returned, the Rockets now have the No. 1 offense (118.5) and the No. 1 defense (97.2) in the NBA.
Here's a weird stat, Over the last 5 games since CP3 has been back our pace has slipped by a point falling from 6th to 10th in the league, however I have figured the problem, its the 4th quarter. we've been killing people by the third so often, it hurts our pace but we are still top ten in those 5 games..
James Harden is the only current player in the NBA to average at least 29ppg in three straight seasons
Not that weird if one considers that Paul historically have controlled th offense for slower-paced teams. I’m curious what the pace numbers are with Paul and Harden on the floor together versus just Paul or just Harden.
Houston Rockets now holds the record for longest road winning streaks with at least 15 points at 6 games. Record falls on a daily basis for this awesome team! http://bkref.com/tiny/H4Wvo
