New top 50 list from The Undefeated. They take out 14 players from the NBA's top 50 list and add 14 more. Some controversial additions, at least, to me, are Ray Allen and Paul Pierce. Feel that they weren't as "great" as Pete Maravich and Clyde Drexler. They take out Bill Walton, Nate Archibald, and James Worthy. But there isn't that much of an argument when their spots are taken by players like Kevin Garnett, Jason Kidd, and Kevin Durant.

Additions to 50 Greatest Players Remix (2017)

    Ray Allen
    Kobe Bryant
    Stephen Curry
    Tim Duncan
    Kevin Durant
    Kevin Garnett
    Allen Iverson
    LeBron James
    Jason Kidd
    Reggie Miller
    Steve Nash
    Dirk Nowitzki
    Paul Pierce
    Dwyane Wade

Subtractions to 50 Greatest Players (1996–97)

    Nate Archibald
    Dave Bing
    Dave Cowens
    Dave DeBusschere
    Clyde Drexler
    Sam Jones
    Pete Maravich
    Robert Parish
    Dolph Schayes
    Bill Sharman
    Wes Unseld
    Bill Walton
    Lenny Wilkens
    James Worthy

Funny that Shaq is still mad about Nash winning those two MVPs.

Lol at Reggie Miller or Steve Nash being better basketball players than Clyde Drexler.

How is Reggie Miller better than Clyde? HOOOOOOW???

Clyde - Top 10 MVP voting 4 times. Finished #2 one year. 5 times All NBA, 1st team. Reggie made only 3rd team NBA.

    2 Championship. Reggie = zero.

    Clyde = 6 rebounds , 6 assists. Miller = 3 rebounds, 3 assists.

    WTF WTF WTF???

Yeah, I'm scratching my head over Reggie Miller. His claim to fame was his 3-point shooting and efficiency, but compared to several players today he was nothing special.

Reggie Miller's claim to fame was his clutch performances. That's the first thing that people remember about him. Then, it was his movement without the ball. His trash talk. His consistency as an individual and the consistency of his teams.

I don't think he was better than Drexler, though. Drexler truly was a five-tool guard. But I would feel a lot more comfortable with him as the leader and best player of my team than I would with Ray Allen or Paul Pierce.

To me, it would make more sense to add 25 players. Why retract the original 50? They should've done a 75th anniversary addendum at the start of the 16-17 season, updating the list with the greats from the 25 years since the list was made.

    Additions:
    51. Grant Hill
    52. Tim Duncan
    53. Kobe Bryant
    54. Kevin Garnett
    55. Allen Iverson
    56. Jason Kidd
    57. Chris Webber
    58. Dirk Nowitzki
    59. Tracy McGrady
    60. Steve Nash
    61. Ben Wallace
    62. Paul Pierce
    63. Yao Ming
    64. LeBron James
    65. Dwyane Wade
    66. Amar'e Stoudemire
    67. Carmelo Anthony
    68. Dwight Howard
    69. Chris Paul
    70. Pau Gasol
    71. Kevin Durant
    72. Russell Westbrook
    73. Blake Griffin
    74. James Harden
    75. Stephen Curry

    Thoughts?

I don't get the their reasoning behind drexler. Yes he need Hakeem to win... but he did more than PP or Reggie did as the main guy.

As others have mentioned, putting Reggie Miller above Clyde Drexler is inexcusable. It's not like these guys really even came from different eras, which you could use as an excuse with Ray Allen and Paul Pierce.

Reggie Miller hit his prime just as Clyde Drexler was leaving his. If you saw Miller at his best, you saw Clyde at a point where he was still better. He led his team to more success (two Finals appearances as best player), he won a championship, his all around numbers are drastically better, and he was legitimately in the conversation as the best guard in the league not named Jordan.

Miller's paltry numbers and limited team AND individual success (only three time All-NBA Third Team) are overlooked because two of the best performances of his life came at MSG in the playoffs.

These lists are always stupid as hell. I'm not even gonna click the link, don't want to contribute any traffic to that garbage.

Reggie Miller and Ray Allen over Clyde is a joke

He carried his teams as the #1 option to the Finals twice in a conference with Magic and Kareem and Worthy and co. He lost to a Pistons team who was 1 win short of a 3 peat and he lost to a 3 peat Bulls team. Won a ring as a #2 option.

What the **** did Ray Allen and Paul Pierce carry? I hate how easily the past is just tossed aside for whoever is more relevant today.
