According to this: and this: and this: https://www.sbnation.com/2017/7/26/16036162/nba-jersey-patch-sponsor-tracker-2017-season we don't have a sponsor yet. Has anyone heard any rumors? Do was HAVE to have a sponsor patch on the jersey this season?
IIRC, Les Alexander was one of the 2(?) owners that did not support the idea of sponsor patches on the jerseys, so we may not see them until after Tilma Fertitta acquires the team (if he chooses to go that route).
People keep saying this, but why would he pay to use the Rockets jersey ad space versus sell the ad space. That is quite an opportunity loss to pay for your own ad space. Since he doesn't own the jersey (the NBA does), all patches are shared revenue, so the owners (and Union) won't let him use that space for FREE for his own benefit. If he uses it for Landry's, Landry's Inc will have to pay market price for it. And I'm sure the owners would expect at least $6m/yr. Also, the Players actually get 50% of the revenue from the patches, too...since it's BRI. Players aren't going to let an owner stiff them on the value of them wearing patches.
Carl if you can tell the chinese president to hold back his ninja's, i swear i can tell kim to be quite, ive had about enought this ****, and even bruce lee wants to come back to tell kim how he has no honor... OMG
Has he tried nachos with extra cheese and jalapenos? If you do, the three storms come directly from your rear end.
Landry's isn't a charity. They can't write off advertisements. By comparison, a charitable write-off is what Qualtrics is doing with their 5 for The Fight charity. They are sponsoring the Jazz uniform for $4m/yr. But Landry's couldn't promote its own brand to get a tax write off. They could do a similar thing for Harvey or something. [Qualtrics] the fast-growing tech firm will not promote its own brand on the team’s navy, yellow and green jerseys, but instead the company’s charity, 5 For The Fight, which is intended to raise funds for cancer research. The goal of the global campaign is to get everyone to donate $5 to cancer research. https://www.forbes.com/sites/kurtba...l-with-qualtrics-cancer-charity/#2561afbcc298 I'm not saying Tilman wouldn't buy it for himself. He very well could consider the sponsor patch to be good marketing in China to expand his chains. I'm just saying I can't see the owners and players allowing him to do it without paying for it, since he doesn't actually own the jerseys, and it is revenue for all.
Even if he wanted to, isn't Landry's more of an umbrella company name, and not a recognizable brand? There's only a handful of Landry's seafood restaurants, everything else he own goes by a different name.
What if we adverise a company that a different sports owner owned? Like if we advertised microsoft? Rockets/clippers games would be weird
