I honestly think he can be a top 3 center. He is a great pick a role defender and one of the best pick and roll finishers in the league. I think he can be a better Deandre Jordan. He just needs to improve his rebounding. My prediction this year 17.8 ppg 11rpg 2 blocks 2nd team all defense. Dudes going to feast on CP3 and Hardens passes.

    Capela
    per 36 mins
    19 ppg 12.2 rpg 2 blocks

    Deandre Jordan
    14ppg 15 rpg 2 blocks

We don't need that. Just need to see him up his MPG another 4-5 minutes.

    Nope.

He doesn't defend well and his rebounding is only okay.

He will play out the string with the Rockets and some foolish franchise will over pay him.

Superstar? Hell no. All Star? Not that either but his production will jump through the roof. His MPG game will be key.

He will never be a superstar. I think he can expand his game to be a better player, but I don't see him becoming a superstar.

He is a useful player who capitalizes on Harden's gravity and passing.

We need to flip him before he gets too expensive.

If we can nab Drummond for Capela, we should jump all over that. Drummond could do everything Capela does, but bring much better rebounding.

Drummond is extremely overrated and isn't really that good.

Capela needs to avg 30+ mpg and hopefully all off-season he's worked strictly on defensive awareness.

His offense will come to him via cp3 and harden. What he lacks is great defensive instincts.

hes not going to be a superstar. He may "look" like an all star playing with harden/cp3 but he is not. He's a solid starting center.

He's our biggest trade chip for a superstar tho.

Hell no to Drummond. Dude has that Dwight Howard disease where he thinks he needs post touches to be effective.

Capela is the perfect center in a MDA offense

If we could flip him and Eric Gordon for Boogie tho.......

he may become a superstar (in his role). Overall though, it'd be nice to see him become a star first. Like, in the conversation for the all-star game (but not quite there).

Drummond may not be that good, but he is better than Capela and would greatly benefit from the Paul / Harden effect. We would be a better team with him vs than with Capela.

Drummonds problem is that he is the best player on Detroit and thinks he needs to have a post game, and carry a load which he just wouldn't have to do here. If all he had to do was defend, and play clean up ball, leveraging his size and strength, he could be a better version of Capela with a significantly better rebounding advantage.

Considering the Rockets were 21st in the league last year in rebounding, it is an area where we could definitely improve.

He would improve rebounding, but his defense is arguably worst than capela.

I would say they are about even and would give the slight nod to Drummond overall because his rebounding but the price difference is the reason I choose capela.

They are similar talents imo and capela is the better fit in this system and even after his raise is likely to make less than Drummond. He's also improving whereas Drummond has been declining.

Huge no to lazy Drummond, the worst free throw shooter ever and a far inferior defender on pick and rolls. Clint has WAY better defense on switches which is absolutely vital.

Career .381 from the line with zero improvement. Clint already has a higher PER and is trending upward with his showing against the Spurs.

Would like to see the stats th say he doesn't defend well. Also pretty sure he avges 11-12 boards per 36 and went up in the playoffs vs elite rebounders

I doubt he's going to become an All-Star (it's a popularity contest anyway), but he can get close.
