Tom Brady scores a 49.8. Tip of the cap to the Texans players on the field at the time.
Take away the passes to the running backs (Texans Achilles heel) and it would have been worse.

    *Partly due to some rust.

    Ufomba Kamalu, 89.8 Overall Grade

    Tony Washington, 85.4 Overall Grade

    Denzel Rice, 82.1 Overall Grade

    Matthew Godin, 81.4 Overall Grade

    Brian Peters, 81.3 Overall Grade

Savage, 72.0: "Savage once again moved the ball effectively with the 1st-team offense as he connected
on 8 of his 9 pass attempts. Savage was a perfect 3-for-3 when blitzed on Saturday night for a total
of 20 yards and a TD."

Ellington, 76.8: "....Texans quarterbacks had a 118.8 passer rating when targeting Ellington."

Denzel Rice may be surpassing Robert Nelson

I think he has. I hope so at least. Would rather see Rice, Roberson, or Virgin make it over Nelson. May keep two of those 4. We do love keeping our past guys so Nelson has that going for him.

Kamala made his presence known. He's a huge guy that moves really well for his size. Pretty intriguing guy that I'd like to see us keep around. Belicheck has a history of snagging guys from the teams they face in joint practices/preseason. Kamala would be a pretty hot commodity if we were to cut him.

We'd be crazy to cut Kamalu. The guy had a FF, sack, 4 tackles/3 solo, and 3 QB hits in the first 2 games. Nobody else on the team had more than 1 QB hit in the first 2 games. I like that he can get to the QB, and put on the pressure.

I often saw Tony Washington and Kamalu during preseason game 2....but I'm not familiar with Godin. Does he
    play NT as well?

Well they have Godin listed as DE. I couldn't tell you much about him other than he looked good too. He's got a FF/fumble recovery and 4 tackles in the first 2 games. No quarterback hits or passes deflected.

    Thanks @deb4rockets

Hatley looked very disruptive to me.

Which undrafted UFAs are going to make the cut, y'all think? I haven't watched or really read anything so far.

That's a very good question? Who is on the bubble?

Some of these guys have shown flashes. Will it be good enough?

    President
McCarron (listed 3rd on the current depth chart behind Braxton)
Dare Ogunbowale (I think is the best RB, but will not get needed playing time since D'Onta is a 3rd rd pick)
Baylis (TE), probably not enough to unseat Feidorowicz/Anderson/Griffin
    Dee Virgin (CB)
Eli Ankou has been involved with many plays (I believe he was undrafted)
    M. Godin, scored high with PFF. He didn't catch me eye.

Dare only got a few plays in the Panthers game; but he nailed a blitzing LB coming free on one play
and stood him up. Stopped him in his tracks. Vs Patriots Dare averaged 3.5 yds per carry while Miller
averaged 2.6 and Foreman averaged 2.4 yds per carry.

Not sure Foreman can block, but I found out D'Onta can catch. Would like to see Texans keep Dare.
    Miller/Blue/Foreman/Dare

The Big question to me is, Novak or Fairbairn?
I like Novak consistency of FG's. But like the kickoffs by Fairbairn.

You think Dare is our best RB? interesting..

As far as UFA's making it
Dylan Cole looks like a lock to make it.

I like Ankou and Godin up front. Dee Virgin has a really good shot to stick at CB.

I like McCaron like most people, always like those UFA's. we're pretty good at finding gems there. Stephen Anderson, Joel Heath, Brennan Scarlett and Ufomba Kamala look like really good players from last years group. That's a really well done job in that department.

Anybody hear anything on Daniel Ross? 6'6 330lb DT from Northeast Mississippi Community College (lol) and then the CFL. He seemed to be getting consistent, good penetration on the line. Size like that is hard to ignore.

If you think Dare is the best RB that is your prerogative, but don't make it seem like D'Onta is only getting reps because he is 3rd rd pick... the guy has also been awesome in both preseason games.

No idea what people see in Dare. Haven't seen anything from him.

Yes, meant in addition to Cole and Rice. They were mentioned in previous posts.

Yes it is my prerogative. I'm saying he is not getting a fair chance because team front office brass don't want Dare
    upstaging D'Onta.

Put D'Onta with the First team for 20 plays and then put Dare with the first team for 20 plays.
    Hopefully vs the same defenders.
Whose numbers would be better? You say D'Onta and I say Dare.

There is more to being a running back than just running yards.

Catching the ball matters. D'Onta caught two tough catches vs Patriots. Dare only gets about 4 touches.
Is it because he can't catch? Idk. I would like to find out.

Running backs are unplayable if they can't pick up the blitz. I've liked Dare's blocking in the first two games.
Problem is it's such few Texans possessions. I can't say D'Onta can block. He didn't do a good job in college.

Well, preseason game 4 it is then.. Both should see the field plenty.

I'm not against Dare being good, just saying don't discredit D'Onta to push your own narrative, he has done everything asked of him.

Yes both are missing practice with injuries at the moment.

Again I like Miller/Blue/D'Onta/Dare making the team. And I'm not saying D'Onta isn't good.
Just saying if you put all these guys in a hat and shake it up, you can pull one out and not go wrong.
Or well enough as the next guy. If our line doesn't open up holes, they may all average
less than 3 yards a carry.

I'm just saying we know what Miller and Blue can do. I would like Dare to get more than 2 carries x 7 yds vs Pats.
and 1 carry x 8 yards vs the Panthers. Foreman got 9 carries vs the Panthers and 7 carries vs the Pats.

Texans gave Watson time with the firsts to allow him the chance to upstage Savage. Give Dare a chance.

Shouldn't be a problem if you think D'Onta is so much better.

Looks like Dare can catch the ball out of the back field Apache. At least he did in college.
