The difference is that one can easily infer it's a joke from the title, and the intent is for it to be taken as such. That's different from a title that is blatantly misleading and intended to deceive someone into clicking into the thread looking for real news.
I mean, I know a sense of humor is subjective and all but god damn yours sucks... How is this even funny? Reread your post, try to pick it apart and see it from everyone else's point of view. Ask yourself how is this not funny? If you do that before you get the urge to post maybe you won't post ****.
If he intended to ban any threads trying to be "joke threads" in the offseason and not just those masquerading as legit news updates, I personally think that's an over the top reaction to what was a legitimate problem wrt the Melo threads. I don't believe that was his intention, but I could be wrong. I'll repeat that I knew immediately from the title (and the person creating the thread) that this was just a joke in reaction to the rumor about Morey trying to own the team. So I didn't take it as "fake news", but I guess if one is gullible enough they could take any joke to be fake news.
