Young Sam Cassell with today's rules would be better than Chris Paul.

They never would have taken him with that pick, JVG confirmed it would have been Tabo Sefolosha.

The Rockets have had some pretty good picks.

Elvin Hayes (in 1968 by the San Diego Rockets)
Rudy Tomjanovich (in 1970 by the San Diego Rockets)
    Ralph Sampson (1983)
Rodney McCray (1983) - They should have drafted Clyde Drexler.
    Hakeem Olajuwon (1984)
    Robert Horry (1992)
    Sam Cassell (1993)
    Yao Ming (2002)

If you are listing NBA coaches, you forgot Rudy T.
Rudy was drafted number 2 in 1970 by the Rockets when they were still in San Diego.
...and Rudy gets special consideration since he was pretty much a Rockets lifer.
