For example off the record we always talk about the NFL being a copycat league with Bill Belicheck. Its so obvious Kawhi Leonard increased his free throw rate this year by studying James Harden (even if the spurs wont just come out and say it), he even holds the ball out when attacking the basket fishing for fouls like Harden.

Harden should get credit for being a pioneer of that move, but the media hates his guts, and its all Kawhi improving on his own. Whatever

Yeah, I was thinking in last night's broadcast of SAS v MEM, McHsle went out of his way not to mention Harden when talking about how Conley and Kawaii were using the cookie jar technique for 3pt fouls. He chose other historical comparisons. Sigh

Because you have butthurt people like Kevin McFail in the media who don't want to credit Harden for anything despite Harden doing everything to keep McFail partly relevant when he was "coach" here.

    Absolute salty, loser.

    Who came first...egg or chicken.....

Who came first - Ginobili's euro or Harden's eurostep

You expect the media to give Harden credit for being the pioneer of something that most of them hate? They don't want players copying his tactics.

Why doesn't he get credit? Maybe all those tattoos. Or maybe because he was washing his junk in some girl's sink? I don't know.

McHale really is BITTER and UNPROFESSIONAL about it. Really unbecoming. I cant believe he's in the media, he isn't likeable.

which historical comparisons did he use for the three pt fouls?

trust me when curry draws fouls on three-pointers the same way harden does they love him because they get to watch curry shoot free throws. and Curry is an excellent free-throw shooter by the way

Curry draws fouls by kicking his leg out and falling, he doesn't do what Harden does. People don't like Harden because they think his game is predicated on drawing fouls and because of things like him drawing more 3 point fouls by himself than any team in the NBA which is pretty amazing when u think about it. People will gloss over Curry because he doesn't draw 3 point fouls or fouls in general that often and they think his game is fun to watch. People won't gloss over what Harden does because he can have games where's making twice as many free throws as field goals and he's constantly looking to draw a foul. Fans hate that stuff. I've seen countless people say stuff like "Harden doesn't even try to make a shot, all he wants to do is get a foul...he's ruining the game."

    Creators never follow.

Kawaii Linard is a Japanese robot/mouth breather. It's time to wipe his hard drive.

Everyone steals from everyone. It's not a big deal. Tim Duncan was sticking the ball out and daring guys to swipe at it before going up through them 15 years ago, it's just he was standing still and Harden was driving.

They say it. They say it a lot. Pop and Kawhi have said they study James Harden.

Kobe used the Dream Shake on Harden in the Drew League during the Lockout '11.

Yeah, and Pops and Kawhi are running McHale/Harden's 2015 offense when Kawhi is on the court.

Only difference is they have an actual scoring PF and a PG in Parker who can actually drive as a secondary option vs Bev in 2015. Offense completely changes when Kawhi sits and Patricia takes over, though, back to normal Spurs movement that we are used to seeing.
