[South Florida Sun Sentinel / Ira Winderman] - Erik Spoelstra on MDA & the Rockets: "I think it's a perfect marriage for an organization with Mike and then the players that they have," he said. "And we've seen the results of that. Everybody is on the same page. There's no differing motives." "When organizations get on the same page like that, it's sweet music. It's much more elusive and it's hard to find in this league. It doesn't matter what style or how you want to play or what kind of style you want to play or how you want to play or what kind of shots you want to get, what kind of defense. It's more important having a culture, having a system, a staff, a management and players that all believe in it and that's what they found." [...] "It is different than what he was doing in Phoenix," Spoelstra said. "It's that on steroids." [oh, and 1st!]
Jonathan Feigen @Jonathan_Feigen 1m1 minute ago Ryan Anderson is doubtful with the flu tonight in Miami. He has been fighting it for several games. No word on a starter there yet.
Going to be interesting to see who starts at PF if Ryan is out. Ariza moves down to 4 with Brewer at the 3? Or Dekker starts at the 4?
Given the way he's been shooting, they may not miss him much. I would start Dekker. He's not the outside threat Anderson is(usually), but he'll make up for it with hustle. I do hope Anderson can go tomorrow vs the Bucks. Despite his horrible shooting at Toyota Center, I'd rather not play that game shorthanded.
I'm actually convinced that sequence against Memphis where he missed that wide open layup with around 3 minutes left, and then gave up a layup on the other end is what cost us the game. He's ****ing terrible!
