I know how much some of y'all love counting other people's money. So let's start the break down now.. Assuming DMo has gotten docked for this first game the max pay he could have lost according to the number that HP found is: $75,454.55 _____________________ Cumulative total on the year: $-75454.55
I don't know if we can actually fine him that amount. What HP's posts seem to indicate is that we can reduce his salary by that much for every game he does not play, but if he never plays for us its not like he owes us that amount of money. If we could actively take 75k from his bank account for every game/training session for the rest of the season this holdout would be over before it started.
In the OP I used "docked" as opposed to "fined" because this is money taken out of his total base salary that he would be paid if he had not held out.
Damn, that's like $75,454.55 times more than dude makes in an entire year. I wish Dmo would attend one of these games and just send me a check for that, it would be a nice gesture. Then he can go back to sitting it out again. It's not like the Rockets or the league office really need that money, man.
not knocking the thread idea Knock, but "Watcing" is going to bug the hell out of me, especially in a cutting-edge DMo thread, which is what this appears to be. Use the thread tools to correct the spelling, and BOOM, five star thread, readers guaranteed to come knocking.
Man, he was just trying to keep the momentum and stuff, man. No need to go OCD on this stuff, but I do understand and everything like that.
Man what a total ****ing dumpster fire for this guy. Handling of this contract is epically inept, I mean Don King couldn't screw him harder.
I strictly do not want to 'watc' some millionaire's money. Especially when he has not proven himself enough.
Tbh 75k is nothing when you are holding out for an extra 6M.. Having said that, this whole fiasco is probably going to hurt him going forward. Injury concerns, attitude concerns.. He better bring it on the court (if he ever makes it) otherwise this deal could be his last in the NBA, at least for good money
It just occurred to me that "watc" might have been a simple typo . . . for " WhatC ", after the famed CF poster What. If that's the case, then my apologies to OP
