It never fails when Charles James comes in he will give up a big play, Whether he slips or its his lack of size preventing him from making a play but he costs us repeatedly.

He is what he is. Plus special teams guy and a 4th or 5th corner. We were asking him to cover Jordy Nelson (on a slick playing surface). J-Jo went down and Kev Johnson is obviously out so we are pretty thin at the position.

He just isn't a guy that should be counted on to cover anyone, ever. If it weren't for Hard Knocks he wouldn't even be on the roster.

J-Jo has been a solid DB here, but this has to be his last season. He just can't stay healthy and on the field. And when he sits, the team suffers.

Texans have no quality depth at DB (or OL or DL or LB).

He's a solid-ish special teams guy, nothing more.

Most teams don't have a good DB5. Weird thing to complain about really.

I mean, how far down the depth chart can you expect to have quality performers? If he were a solid cover man he wouldn't be a fringe NFL player.

He's not any good. Newsflash, whoever our last DB on the depth chart is next year, he won't be any good either.

I would say he is just about as good as any 5th string corner in the league? There is no player in the league at his position on the depth chart that is gonna give you any kind of consistent coverage. He is a plus special teamer and a guy you ideally don't want on the field defensively unless absolutely necessary (like any 5th corner)

James had that great flop vs KC during their TD-return.

    Game-changing ST talent!!

5th CBs aren't good, but it's worse when ALL your safeties are below-par too.

Exactly. CJ is there for depth and for from injuries. In all honesty, of all of his bad plays - the slip yesterday was the most forgivable. We've simply been decimated on the defensive side, especially DBs.

I liked him until he called out the fans after the indy game.

You really should call out the fans of a team that you're lucky to even have a roster spot on.

Wow... That's the first move we make? Sad. I would have kept him just for ST, its not his fault he is playing like a 5th DB when that is his spot on the roster.. We wouldn't be calling for his head if he was just tackling punt returners while JJo and Kev Johnson covered people...

    Dang. That's savage.

Really, something else must have happened behind the scenes. Maybe somebody called him out and he went off. He's not even getting the Rahim Moore treatment. Straight Savage.

Wasn't that him running shirtless before the game yesterday? He may have pissed the football gods off.
