24, 18, 10, 17 pts in his last 4 games. Getting 20-30 mins per game, as well his hitting 3s at solid clip.

Perhaps our problem the last few years was just coaching + system. I mean, Dwight, Lawson, Lin, T Jones, even Marcus Morris, have all looked much better this pre-season. Yes, it is just pre-season, but worth tracking.

Hopefully Adelman is what we need. But could it have been the last few years we just wasted it under McHale/JB.

I know many here are rooting against him for whatever reason, but I hope he has a good year. I wouldn't be surprised if he has a resurgence.

my only problem with T Jesus was he just couldn't stay on court. If he can stay healthy he could be solid off the bench for the Pelicans

I can understand trashing players when they intentionally SH*' on a team, things like being a diva / selfishness over team, not playing within the system, locker room drama, coaching fueds, fights with other players, sleeping with teammate's women, quitting on team, sulking from not getting their way, not hustling, bad mouthing team to press, reckless felony off-court behavior, hating the city, etc

Besides a questionable off-court incident that proved minor, I don't see where Terrence Jones qualifies to get the PERSONAL level HATE. His skill flaws got exposed. His "IQ" level is what it is. (Unless he's a douchebag behind the scenes) Does that mean treat him like he's a BAD CHARACTER man? Rockets didn't toss him a Corey Brewer contract to put him in the crosshairs. He came, got unlucky, and he went. Would be good for him if he turned it around.

We all knew he could ball, we've seen it, but he didn't bring it every night, defensively other than blocks he was far from great, that 3pt sling shot was just awful to rely on and his health. I wish him all the best.

we had no system under mcfail and bickerstaff( it was all harden), i think tjones could be better than harrell for us under mda

Must I remind you all that Jones always had those moments where he's looked great against lesser competition
But his main problems were mental toughness and consistency.
In the big stages against tougher competition (playoffs LMA) he pooped his pants and literally was unplayable.

How many rookie contract non-lottery bigs have stopped LMA in the playoffs?

That's a cop out. Yes JB & McHale sucked. But Jones's effort at times just wasn't there. He'd look great one game, then look disinterested the next 10 games. The thing is not only did he lose his confidence shooting the ball, he'd also stop rebounding & defending. That's on Jones not coaching

    I don't think he's a star, but a good role player.

Last year was an aberration for many, but not all, Rockets players.

I think he'll go back to what he was 2 years ago. 11.7 ppg, 6.7 rpg, decent efficiency. Maybe improve a bit

I think that's a result of bad coaching.

But how exactly? The knock on him coming from Kentucky was he's a talented but lacks the motor at times. Was it coaching then?
