It's only preseason (can't stress that enough) ... but ... Kyle Wiltjer is averaging 9.6 points on 52.9% shooting (18-34 FG) and 52.6% (10-19) from downtown in just 14.8 minutes per over 5 games.

With this kind of shooting ability, I'm sure D'Antoni can think of ways to use him.

Obviously they keep him, but is he going straight to RGV once they begin in the Valley or do the Rockets keep him on the roster here in Houston ala Chandler Parsons?

We should really keep him. Shooting at the top of the top-middle of the rotation is suspect. Have the kid contribute as he's been doing.

Absolutely should keep the guy. Should have about the same impact as DMo.

Said it a hundred times, but the Rockets need a consolidation trade in a bad way.

He's ready to contribute. When the team needs a shooter on the floor, he can come in to shoot some 3s, then sit back down. No need to send specialist role players like him to the D-League.

In the preseason game vs Mavs, he proved that he not only deserves to be on the team, but deserves more minutes than Dekker. Anytime we have a few trips with stagnant offense where no one is making shots just play Wiltjer for a while and get our lead back up. He is not only a shooter, but can play with his back towards the hoop, AND he takes smart shots. Usually, YOUNG SHOOTERS, tend to jack up stupid shots but WILTJER IS SMART AND PLAYS WITHIN THE OFFENSE! Once he gets his weight up, and learns to be more aggressive on the boards, Wiltjer will be our Kevin Love 2.0.
Wiltjer has the potential to make Morey look like a genius!

Kid can shoot, he's gotta make the team or another team will pick him up in a heartbeat. He's probably not ready to be more than a victory cigar type player, but he's got potential.

He could develop into a solid rotation player at best or be trade bait at worst.

Gotta find a way to keep him. He's too good to let walk. With that said I dont think he will get much NBA pt this season unless there are injuries. But let him develop his body with the vipers this year.

Keep him and no to sending him to the valley. He needs a spot in the rotation.

I also agree that there needs to be a trade made to clear some room up. Not exactly sure what and for who, but Wiltjer needs to be given some tick and time to grow.

He has a wet shot. We need that in rotation. Tyler Ennis and Bobby Brown aren't cutting it.

    All in. Buy buy buy.

I guarantee you will never hear Clyde chide Kyle to give up on his 3 pt shot like he did relentlessly with D-Mo.

Kyle is the truth from 3.

Kentucky and Gonzaga. Dude is a stud. What a pick.

I'm thinking if Brewer is not going to play decent enough to improve his trade value at all, from purely a talent and need perspective, we should waive Brewer. He's 30 years old and barely an NBA player. What is he going to be when he can't even run at an elite level?

I like him better than Dekker - he is a modern Matt Bullard.

That said, if they sign DMo, I think he is headed to RGV and off the roster.....until we can jettison Brewer.
