After Timeout Plays Side Line Out of Bounds -- 5-Up (Triangle) This play is like running Triangle action from out of bounds. Ariza passes to Nene Harden picks for the inbounder Ariza goes thru and followed Harden seals the inbound defender. You can't get sealed that far out. It's a disaster Nene shows his playmaking to get Harden the ball and D has no chance with James going down hill Nene has Ariza for an alley oop if D lets him thru
Side Line Out of Bounds -- 5-Up (Triangle) And here is the very same play, moments later. This time the inbound defender stays with Brewer, but Harden's man hesitates, so Harden pops out for a wide-open 3.
In the Knicks game (I think) Payton as inbounder in the 5-up variation went UCLA cut for a backdoor layup. Sweet
McHale was actually very efficient in ATO plays. Ppl like you just love to hate on things,,,as it's the easy way of posting opinions, But you are just wrong about McHale here
You could say we won this game on two SLOB Plays (Sideline Out of Bounds) to end each half. This with 2.2 seconds left Will post the game winning out of bounds play later, with 4.7 seconds left.
@heypartner change the name of this thread. Spell it all the way out. I missed this thread initially. I didn't know there was a universally accepted basketball acronym for "After Timeout "
I can't say this enough... HeyPartner, your YouTube page is a special special addition to the Rockets following experience. Thanks so much!
I never got that sense. Possibly because of narrative. But you've been super diligent with your breakdowns so I'm going to take your word for it.
