The way we are seeing him control the ball with all these shooters, I'm having a hard time putting a cap on him. :/

Slightly over 10 if he stays around 38 mpg. Slightly under if he's at a more manageable 34-36.

Agreed. If they play the offense correctly, there will be plenty of assists to go around.

I think 11 to 13 is realistic with his court vision. The key will be his turnover ratio which needs to be low for us to have a successful season!.

9 to 10 is what I think, but I just hope he can keep the turnovers under 4 per game.

Its hard to go for 30pts 10 asts every night. There's gonna be nights where his scoring his needed more than his playmaking. I say he gets around 8.6 - 9.2 asts. Wouldn't surprise me if Harden intentionally goes for double-digit asts though.

Agree maybe 8 or 9 tops. People who think he's going to get 11 are delusional.

He averaged 7.5 in his sleep last season while having very little shooters. If you think he will only average 7.8 with this new system and offensive firepower at his disposal I don't know what to tell you.

7.5 last year, and now he is essentially Steve Nash. Is 11 really that delusional?

I'm more interested in how many turnovers he doesn't average.

Perhaps NBA teams do not play D and the Rockets hit 69% of their shots regularly. One can dream....

It won't be less than 10. If you think under 10 you're being overly conservative.

Lol @ the average staying the same...

I've been overly optimistic at predicting 12.1 APG, but it's likely going to be around 9.3-10.2.

im expecting his minutes to go down a bit since he has help now. even 50-60 games of ryan and gordon is more help than he had last season. and with mda he has a real offensive system and supposedly a genius offensive system, so his asts will stay the same BUT he will be much more efficient, prolly most efficient season at least in houston.

I polled at 9-10, but when I think about it more, I can definitely see him in the 10-12 range.

First, he averaged 7.5apg last season, including averaging around 8-9apg the last two months of the season with a system that basically had James create offense spontaneously.

This season, we have a system and players that are built for this system with James in the drivers seat. He'll probably get 4-5 assists passing to shooters, 3-4 assists on lobs/basket cuts, and another 3-4 assists on fast break opportunities every game.

Honestly, I think it will be a rare sight if Harden doesn't get at least 9 assists in a game. I definitely think he will be in double digit assists in 70% of the games.

I think a new career high...but it's really hard in today's NBA to get over 10
