    UPDATE: Blog post...

James Harden is the Rockets' point guard, but hasn't he always been?

How is this different from what he's always done other than semantics of position?

My guess is that Eric Gordon is going to start at the 2.

Might mean D'Antoni is thinking of starting Gordon at SG with Harden at PG.

EDIT: ShutURBiG! beat me to it

He's going to pass after he dribbles off 20 seconds on the shot clock?

I wonder how this will effect our defensive matchups in the backcourt

Which one of Gordon or Harden is supposed to guard the PG in that scenario?

If you think Ariza gave up fast last season, how fast he gonna give up when he has to guard 5 people from the get go? :D

Hmm this could be interesting. I guess we will see how it works out. We have a couple of pre-season games to see how it looks. Does make me wonder about how this works on defense if it is Harden and Gordon as PG and SG. I guess the team plans on playing great TEAM DEFENSE to help out haha

IN NBA 2K9... I had Tracy McGrady play point... but that's on the Playstation, not real life...

It'll be easier to pass sooner since there will actually be movement in the offense now. Also, people that can actually shoot helps too.

Jim Harden has always been the point guard.

    Defense?

I think MDA finally figured it out. If Harden like to dribble the ball so much...why not allow him to do it bringing the ball up the court all the time! No more waiting in one spot for the ball...let others run the baseline...he makes a pass then cuts as most PG's do. I know everyone thinks this always was but it wasn't. No one moved on offense when he brought it up. MDA's offense solves that. Want to keep Harden fresh, let him worry about starting the offense and everyone else...MOVE AROUND!!!

    Problem Solved! (Not sarcasm actually)

    Yeah! That sounds awesome!!

Until about..oh, the 10th game or so when one (or more) of Gordon, Anderson and Nene get injured.
