http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/8...y-beal-oklahoma-city-thunder-talked-moving-up Hmmm.. interested enough to trade Harden for him?
LOL that's because they can't keep Harden anyway without breaking the bank. It would be a great move for them, keep the overpowered OKC machine rolling along by replacing the soon-to-be expensive Harden with an Eric Gordon clone on rookie wages.
So they finally realized that they could be in serious cap hell. The bobcats' 2, 31, and Reggie Williams for Harden could work.
I think it's the other way around. Is Charlotte interested enough in Harden to risk a 1 yr rental him and lose Beal.
This. Charlotte would not be smart to trade their pick for Harden, chance is very small he'll stay with them.
Beal has the potential to be a great player, don't get me wrong, but Harden does a lot for that second unit. That O literally runs through him. Plus Harden's not staying in Charlotte either way, so without that assurance it just doesn't seem worth it from their perspective.
So based on three games that he sucked in the Finals he is no longer good. He had a good playoffs just not finals. It happens........ LeBron
I did, two 20 point games for a 22 y/o in only his 3rd season isn't too bad under intense defense from lebron, dwade and battier in the finals.
Why are multiple people acting like James Harden is an unrestricted free agent? It's not his choice whether he stays in Charlotte or not. Worst case scenario, he signs the qualifying offer which will guarantee 2 seasons with the Bobcats.
Blah blah, Michael worked him out once and played some one-on-one in a pick up game in chicago, blah blah, knew he could play. I honestly think that's what he does. I rmember when he went to the Wiz, local Chicago radio hosts were saying how his ability to actually physically play agaisnt players and then "know" that they were going to be stars was going to give him a massive draft edge. Then they doubled up the homerism and said he "knew" this by playing 1-on-1 against Quentin Richardson (depaul at the time...)
Not really lol, he averaged 16 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assist and 1.5 steals in the post season shooting 41% from 3. The finals he didn't do so well but you must imagine how intense miami's D is on wing players.
Harden will be RFA next season. There was never really a doubt, that he won't stay in OKC. He will probably sign extension this summer. I could see Thunder trading Ibaka for Beal and moving Durant at 4.
Beal will likely be gone at either 2 (Charlotte, possibly trading it to another team) or 3 (Washington). Wonder if either of these teams are willing to trade the pick for Harden-- who is a proven player, but will get expensive a lot earlier than a 2012 pick will. If Beal is out of reach, I wonder if OKC is interested in trading Harden for a package that includes another lotto pick that would allow them to pick someone like Barnes, Lillard, or Waiters. If so, and if the Rockets manage to get one of those 5th, 6th, 7th or 8th picks, would Morey flip it over to OKC for Harden?
Kemba/harden? Wall/harden? Irving/harden? Can't see anyone that would want a one yr rental. Unless he's restricted
