Just got the divorce finalized this morning.

I close on my home re-finance tomorrow.

The ex-Mrs JB and I still get along great. We had breakfast this morning after I went to court in fact.

So, I'm just a single dude like most of the rest of you - well, maybe a little cooler, but you know... :D

Well good luck to you Jeff. I'll let you know what I find out about chicks with unshaved armpits now that you're free to pursue all sorts of women.

Just because I'm free to pursue all sorts of women doesn't mean I will. :)

I just got divorced and I still "believe" in marriage. I have no problem with it and will happily do it again when and if the situation is right. But, I've learned a lot and will hopefully make wiser decisions the next time.

That having been said, the fact that my ex and I are still very close despite our differences made this a lot less difficult.

There's no doubt in my mind that you still love your ex-wife. I'm just saying I believe in the bond of marriage, but not the legal aspect of it. It's just a paper, that's all it is.....actually a very costly paper, sometimes.

Good for you...If you so choose, you'll be married in no time...I myself am not against marriage, but I am not wanting or needing to do it anytime soon...Have fun while you can...

So does that mean you will be open to the liberated woman or remaining on the freshly cut side of the yard?

    Jeff,

As long as you are happy with the end result, then its all good.

Now, what you need to do Jeff is get a leisure suit and and turn on the Bee Gees

    ...And go Strut!

Cue the music to Stayin Alive...

"Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk,
I'm a woman's man: no time to talk.
    Music loud and women warm.
I've been kicked around since I was born.
    And now it's all right - it's O.K. -
And you may look the other way.
We can try to understand the New York Times' effect on man.
    Whether you're a brother or whether you're a mother,
    You're stayin alive, stayin' alive.
Feel the city breakin' and ev'rybody shakin'
and we're stayin' alive, stayin' alive.
Ah, ha, ha, ha, Stayin' Alive."

THis is why I will never get married. I value my posessions, which I worked long and hard to accumulate, way too much to potentially lose them to another person.

Or you can do the smart thing and marry someone who makes more money than you.

Economies of scale people. 2 wage earners = early retirement.

I've thought about that and actually decided if I ever decided to actually get married, this would be one of my top criteria, after all that love ****.
