Some mofo took a key and ran it along the driver's side front to back. No sign of a failed break in. I suspect random campus vandalism.

How much is this going to cost to fix? I want it like new. F this BS. What happened to shaving cream and eggs?

Since it's an '03, I would like a Honda body shop to look at it, but I don't think there is one where I live. Does it matter, dealer vs. independent? I contacted my insurance company and the police and they'll be getting back to me.

Dealer vs. Independent doesn't matter at all. They all use the same parts and paint and all their techs go to the same schools.

Most important thing to look for is, a lifetime warranty. If a shop isn't willing to offer a lifetime warranty, then you should pass them up.

Check out BBB references on them.

What town do you live in?

I go to school in Tulsa.

I'll probably end up going where the insurance company (Nationwide) recommends. Thanks for the heads up.

btw, I don't have any UT decals so that my car wouldn't be a target.

There are a few guys at my office building that have $100,000+ cars and park that sideways crap to take up 2 spots so NO ONE can park near them... those are the people who I think should have their car keyed, I wouldnt do it because I think they will get what coming to them sooner or later, but I wouldnt feel bad not telling them if I saw someone else doing it to their cars...

Yeah those are the worst. Can't stand them. I am not one that would do that to someones car but i could care less if i saw someone doing it to them.

Learned my lesson. The more i baby my possessions i always end up breaking it or get it messed up. Just treat it normal and you have no worries. Of course unfortunatnly there are those beautiful punks that have nothing better to do then mess with it.

I've heard of people doing that but I've never seen anyone do it.

I think parking over the line of your parking space into the one in front of your parking space is far worse!

I once saw a woman standing in a parking space, reserving it for her husband! She was even doing the Mutombo finger-wag!

lmao, people can be so friggin discourteous. If we let that stuff get to us we'd all be serial killers.

My personal fav is when people leave lawn furniture in front of their house to keep other people from parking there.

Once in the Woodlands I saw a Ferrari parked in the "Cook of the Month" parking spot at a Chilli's or something. Yeah, I'm sure a cook at a chain restaurant is ballin' like that. That mother****er was just BEGGING to get his ride ****ed with. If you don't want to risk a door ding, park FAR AWAY from the place amongs all the empty spaces, not in the frigging COOK'S SPOT!

I ain't saying I condone keying cars, especially for no reason. But I understand.

You were in Oklahoma. Do you have a UT decal on your car?

Could explain a lot...

Update:

An independent adjuster came out and made an estimate. He recommended a place and I told him I don't know where I will have it fixed. Today I got a call from a local body shop saying they got an estimate from the adjuster and want to know when I'll bring my car in.

Can someone explain why an adjuster, who doesn't work for my insurance, would send my info to a body shop I said I would consider? I want to give the guy the benefit of the doubt. 99% chance I'm getting it fixed in Houston.

most likely so they can keep tabs on the bill with the insurance company

When I had some body work done on my truck last year the insurance company came out and did the inspection and just cut me a check for $3500 on the spot. I then took it to the bodyshop I wanted to use and they fixed it for $2000.

$1500 went to my checking account.
