If you missed the game thread, "sailor" posted a link to some great digital camera shots from the Wizards game, found here: http://www.imagereservoir.com/rockwiz/rockwiz.html (good job, by the way ... if you were the one who took them) Now, check out image 5 and image 7. With Gilbert Arenas shooting a jumper in image 5, a fan about 5-7 rows up in the middle of the picture is wearing a Rockets jersey. With Juwan Howard shooting a jumper in image 7, same fan (far left in pic) is wearing a Washington retro jersey. No evidence of the "other jersey" in either pic. Here's the Oliver Stone proof: Someone come up with a timeline here if they can -- we're talking about two different halves of basketball. He's on the opposite side of the press row/team benches. Did this dude hop on or off the 'wagon? Was he wearing the Bullets jersey when we were down 17, then switched with the Rockets up 8?
gutless... he didn't have the courage to a least put on a Wizard's jersey - he had to play it all retro !
maybe he bought the retro jersey at the stadium and decided to use it since they were winning most of the game.
I'd say the pic on the left is the earlier pic. My reasoning : Look at the guy on the 2nd row from the top wearing a black jacket on the left picture. He has it off in the right. You usually end up taking your jacket off during the game. You rarely put it back on unless you're preparing to leave (which admittedly could be the case here). Look at the security lady sitting about 3-4 rows up from the bottom on the right pic. There was a fan sitting there "earlier" in the left pic. Look at the guy in the gray long sleeves sitting two rows down in the right pic. Sleeves rolled up (as if he's been sitting for a while). Sleeves rolled down in the left pic. Look at the pic on the left, there's a couple missing about 1 or 2 rows up in the corresponding area in the pic on the right. Of course this could all be coincidence and people could've moved or rolled their sleeves up and down at all the wrong times. Somebody who has the video could judge pretty easily.
Apply some logic here, Both Wiz and Rox are on the same side of court in the pitures, so that leaves us 1) image 5 taken 1st half image 7 taken 2nd half 2) vice versa Since wiz made last basket in image 8, which is not shown here, on the other side of court shown in image 5, so we can rule out possiblity #2 So now that leaves us 1) 5 in 1st, 7 in 3rd 2) 5 in 1st, 7 in 4th 3) 5 in 2nd, 7 in 3rd 4) 5 in 2nd, 7 in 4th So whihc one is the real timeline. Now we have to look at the picture up&close, look for subs that played least minutes last night. And I found Ryan Bowen in image 7 If the play by plat recap is correct here, http://www.sportsline.com/nba/gamecenter/playbyplay/NBA_20050302_HOU@WAS I found Mr.Bowen played 2nd and 4th in the play by play. Just to be sure. I also notice img 5 was taken when Mike James was subbed by Jon Barry. So it was 4 starters without MJ, only happened at a specific point of Gundy's rotation last night. Now I go back to the play by play page. Bingo, we can rule out 5 taken 1st pretty easily, becasue we play 5 starters in the 1st and when Yao is out, Deke in, so 5 cannot be taken in the 1st. That leaves us 1)5 in 2nd, 7 in 3rd 2)5 in 2nd, 7 in 4th Now, back to the play by play page. I found that Bowen, Howard, Deke and Barry played in the middle part of 4th around 7:00 - 8:00 mark. Clutch there you have it Image 5 was taken around the end of 2nd qtr, when Rox was down by almost double digits. Image 7 was taken around 7:00ish mark in the 4th, Wiz was looking good ealiler on to blow out the Rox, even though at that point it was a tie ball game. So here is my recreation: this guy came to the areana to root for Rockets, but things didnt turn Rockets way as of the end of 1st half. He went to the bathoom, changed his Wiz uniform to hop off the "wagon" not to be jumped by the wiz fan at the end of the game. What a loser. Man, how woman can trust him.
DoD.. problem there is the cameras are all on the same side of the court as the fan in question. the wide view camera is above the lower section and pointing towards the press row/benches...it does not really zoom out enough to get the rows that we are tryin to see. the closein camera is under the basket on the side away from the benches...it is normally pointing towards the other end of the court and the benches. neither of which are any good for us to be able to spot the switching jerseys guy. the pic 5 is during the first half...the fan is sitting opposite the Wizards bench and the Wiz are shooting at the goal by their bench inthe first half therefore...pic 7 is second half
Maybe the guy have two jerseys on, he is a Washington DC Yao fan or TMac fan (you can see the 1 on the Rockets jersey, it could be 11 or 1, TMac or Yao number), that's why he bought the Rockets jersey. Then he's got to root for the home team too, so he later removed the Rockets jersey and show his support for the home team since he's a DC guy. There's nothing wrong with that.
