I was wondering if any of you photoshop experts can help me out here. I have some pictures I took, and I wanna post em on a site, but I gotta use a hosting service to post my pics, but the host only allows me to use images 1024 kilobytes big. How do I reduce my images which are way to big, to make it fit that requirement while still getting the whole picture? I tried going to resize and changed the length and width both to 1024 and it cuts most of my pic out. Thanks for any help

Here is the best program to use...i use it all the time

Batch Image Resizer - i use this for all my web galleries that i do to get smaller images then another program to auto make the galleries.

www.downloads.com has a bunch of free ones as well.

They can do whole folders and stuff really quickly so you don't have to use them all at once.

just do a search for "image resizer" and you will get a lot of different ones.

If you want to reduce the actual size of the picture then you would go to:

Image>Image Size

this will also reduce file size (1024kb = 1 MB)\

If you want to keep the size of the picture but reduce the file size you have to reduce quality to do that:

File > Save as > File type (JPG, PNG, BMP whatever format) and then adjust using the quality slider

So i got batch, i got to where i can downsize by pixelsize, but how would i wanna make it so this thing can be the same size but less file size (presuming the file size is why its to big for me to post?) I tried doing the save as thing but I didnt see any slider thing to adjust the quality

FlyerFanatic, if you have Windows XP, there is also some tool you can download that gets incorporated in Windows XP to resize windows. I always use that, and it works great.

It is part of Powertoys for Windows XP.

I believe you can download it here:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx
