How do you take your steak? I always get mine medium rare but it never seems to be bloody/juicy enough for me like I had it one time when I ordered it medium rare. I am thinking about ording my next steak rare. Does anybody else like it like this? Is it safe? If not, what are the health risks? Anyway, how do you take your steak?

I used to think the same thing until I tried it. But you may have tried it and not liked it.

Bloody. You ruin meat when you overcook it.

Medium well is the lowest I'll go.

I've seen people cut into steaks and have blood gushing out of it like some Wild Kingdom episode. That's disgusting. :D

It depends on how thick the steak is. If it's real thick (like Outback Steak House) then medium rare and the smaller ones I cook rare.

The last few steaks I've had were really thick so I voted medium rare but I do love my steaks rare.

Even before I converted to vegetarianism, I hated steak.

Oddly enough, I LOVED all other types of meat (hamburger, chicken, fish, pork) but hated steak and found it vulgar.

Go figure.

well if you slow cook it which takes a bit more time...it doesn't ruin it and it stays juicy. It just depends on how you cook it.

I don't even like to see any pink in there. I always order well done to make sure. I'm amazed at how many people like it fresh off the cow. Even when I can bring myself to eat the pink meat and hope I don't get sick, it tastes slimy and squishy to me. Gross. I can't imagine how you eat the red kind.
