SURA OUT FOR THE SEASON? I just heard though Toyota Center members at my job that sura will likely be out more than half the season. Take it however you guys want to take it. I hope this isnt true, but its the word around TC
I know this was posted previously. But it was predicted that hed be out only the preseason. From what I heard he'll be out most of the season, possibly the whole season.
Like he said before, this news is different from the news posted in the other thread. Based on this, Sura will be out for most of the season , not just the preseason. I don't know how reliable his source is, but if there's any truth to it, this is bad news.
So 2 herniated discs just happened a couple of weeks after a complete exam? That should be a giant red flag that the Rockets drs stink or that he is 1 fragile guy. I think both.
Personally I feel that Sura off the bench WILL play a key role for this team. If he is expected to be out longer than pre-season + 1 month regular season then that is all the MORE reason why to try to pick up Lucious Harris. Without a Harris or Sura that means that JJ and Tmac will play a lot of minutes. We just cant give our starters all those extra minutes. We need to rely on the bench and need bench players that JVG feels comfortable in playing.
That's not what NBAHOU713 heard from his "sources" at TC. Let's see if the info plays out before we dismiss this out of hand, or Clutch & Crew tell us differently. If Sura is really out for the year, that hurts... worse than the news already reported hurt, as it is. Oh, xiki, I wouldn't call it a "great post," but a damned depressing one.
Sign Lucious Harris! Even if Sura is back in a couple months I'm more than a little nervous about this situation. What if it's like the situation with Piatkowski last year in which he just never fully bounced back? I hope he does bounce back. I was really looking forward to seeing Sura be a key player on this team.
Yeah, even if Sura gets back in 2 months, it is going to take him probably over a month to get his legs under him. It will take some time! Sign Harris a 2 year deal and go from there.
From the news report over the net, he hurt his back during a workout after he signed his contract. Good timing for him, bad for the Rockets (contract wise)
