Toronto is 0 - 3 and Orlando is 1 - 2.

This is not quite what they had in mind down there in DisneyWorld.

I don't know how high Toronto's expectations were going into the season, but I'm sure most fans expected at least the playoffs again.

Yeah, yeah, it's early, but a loss is a loss. And, for young teams (Raptors) and teams that haven't been together long (Magic) losing can have more of an emotional affect.

Don't look now, but Grant Hill may take some time off during the season to fully recover from his ankle injury, too. Definitely not good for the Mickey Mouse club (Orlando).

Toronto's expectations were very high (it's a bit of a problem they have, an overblown sense of self worth). And let me correct you on the "young team" comment. Toronto is a very old team. They have 7 players over 30, 6 of whom are 35 or over. In recent years they have traded Camby for Oakley, Bender for Davis, lost Radojevic to injury (out for the year again this year) and TMac to Orlando. They are OLD. They mortgaged their future for their present and their present is looking shaky. I actually hope they can pull it together a bit because if they start to suck severely it will be bad for basketball in Canada.

Orlando's struggles somewhat surprise me. But Toronto does not. Vince Carter can score as many points as he wants, but it doesn't translate into wins.

And THAT makes me happy.

Vince Carter is not MJ,he is the second coming of The Human Highlight Reel.He is in line for a long productive career with excactly ZERO championships.Beyond Vince, his team is OLD or simply not that talented and as long as it remains that way(IMO it will throughout his career)the Raps will never be serious title contenders.

Orlando on the other hand will look somewhat average UNTIL they get Hill healthy and used to new teammates, but once Hill is back they are serious contenders for the Eastern Conference Crown and with one more big Banger inside I could see them giving the Lakers a run for their money.TMac is a talent like no other in this league and when he's on his game he's as tough to stop as anybody.

Maybe if the Rockets can string some wins together and the Raptors keep losing we can pick up some national TV games from them.

Toronto is looking anemic.
They have to learn to win without TMac
They now beginning to understand that talent
on the BENCH is meaningful

I think orlando will be ok but not
better than toronto with TMAc
or Detroit with Hill.

They will loook better because the east is so
weak.

With the Magic just losing to Chicago they are really getting of to a slow start. Then again they are without Grant.
