Stated that he will do whatever it takes to win...even if he takes less shots by going through Yao...also said that he didn't care any more about scoring because he led the league in scoring twice...

said the trade would benefit both teams...gave Cuttino props on his defense...

comments on Weisbrod were funny...
more later...

You could tell he's talked to Van Gundy plenty and has bought his "sacrifice" talk, just like Francis bought into it last season. He talked about not caring if his points go down as long as he's winning... Why he though he shouldn't be labeled selfish... Didn't bad mouth the Magic, actually talked good about their GM because he fufilled his longtime promis that he would get Tracy to Houston... Can't remember the rest...

also stated that he was glad that it was officially over...thanked Weisbrod for guarenteeing him Houston...

If you wouldn't mind paraphrasing as it goes; I don't get ESPN. Thanks.

ok...Feigan (from the Houston Chronicle) just got interviewed...

They said the T-Mac interview will be on ESPN at 10pm...they did show like 3-4 minutes of it earlier...

Feigan basically stated how right now the Rockets need a point guard...said the Rockets will talk to D. Fisher's people and T. Hudson's people on July 1...also mentioned possible interest in C. Ward and B. Barry...

said that T. Lue agreed not to opt out for this deal to go through...

The T-Mac interview was nice...they vut it off and said they will show it later on ESPN...

That Linda lady from ESPN interviewed him...

You can see some kids in the background where's he is at...it could be a commercial shoot or some sort of training camp T-Mac does for kids...

yeah...i see what your saying about the "sacrifice talk"... but I personally like it alot...it sounded like what i wanted to hear from him...

It's not a bad thing though, I think Francis really bought into that, and if Tracy buys into it as well we will be a better team.

his comments on weisbrod were funny in that he said all the right things but his mannerisms betrayed his dislike.

feigen said fa point guards are probably lining up to fill the open spot ... agreed barry would be a great choice but did not know if management would sign him to the long term barry was looking for...said rockets should not be considered an elite western team now but at least "in the conversation"

I still like his sacrifice comments the best, that's what makes extremely talented players true great players. Championships are also won with sacrifice, Jordan had to sacrifice before he became a true great, Shaq and Kobe did the same. Some players come in with that like Duncan, Magic, Pippen, etc. some have to learn it, like Tracy.
