Obviously you have no idea what you are talking about whatsoever.

http://imdb.com/title/tt0077402/

Dawn of the Dead orginally came out in 1978. The new movie is a remake.

1. wow, so you just assumed i didnt know that it was a remake AND were an ass about it making you a doulbe ass?! you dont find it interesting how similar 265DL is to 28DL in regards to the way its directed, edited to be one big sprinting zombie rave? also you dont find it interesting that 265DL came out only 265 days after 28DL was a huge low budget success?

2. man.... why did you to use the quote thing? you were the second post. did you think that with out the quote i would be so at a loss trying to understand what you were responding to?

Um, every movie mentioned in this thread is a ripoff of "Night of the Living Dead"

Oh, and he used the "Respond to Quote" icon out of habit. Otherwise he might accidently click on the "New Thread" icon with his response....wouldn't want that to happen now, would we chickadee001?

That is a horrible assessment! Dawn of the Dead paved the way for movies like 28 days later! DID YOU EVEN SEE THE ORIGINAL?!?!

Sorry as a zombie movie buff, this irked me. I'm so glad there's starting to be a market for these movies because they're right up there with vampire movies in my book...

Chump is correct. You are wrong. Admit it. You had no idea there was an original Dawn of the Dead and 265DL is just a ripoff (albeit a good movie).

I'm looking forward to the DotD remake.

I don't know how the whole movie making process works but I'm guessing it takes a year to a couple of years to make a movie, right, so I'm thinking Dawn of the Dead had to be well into production before 28 Days later hit theaters.

Is the original DotD worth renting? I thought 28 days later was pretty good.

foas, what are you? 12? i'm a 23yr old and spent 17months of my life living on 30th st austin with i love video IV in one arm and vulcan video IV in another. those places owned my paycheck. i just think its funny everyone thinks i'm an idiot cause i mentioned that this DOD2k4 is a ripoff of 28 days later. why did you say 265DL is "a ripoff albeit a good movie" when you havent seen it yet? release date is 3.19, bub.

someone said every zombie movie made after night of the living dead is a ripoff. thats rich.
someone said that DOD78 paved the way for zombie movie. correction: night of the living dead was the trailblazer.

DOD2k4 looks like its riding the wave. looks like zombies hauling ass like dead carl lewises and jumping around to prodigy just like 28 days later.

same thing as dante's peak and volcano coming out in 1997
deep impact and armageddon in 1998.
2 blockbuster volcano movies being produced simultaneously for the same summer. 2 comet ending of world movies being produced simultaneously for the same summer.

someone tell me when was the last time that a last zombie movie hit the screens before 28 days later?
