That's the one I was talking about... I'm sure he must be as well.
It's much different now at Austin then it used to be. When I was there they had the Scottish Brigade, which was a huge school activity. I wasn't in it (nonconformist! ;) ), but I knew several people who were. Another thing that dates me is that the school was integrated with two guys when I was a sophomore (I think... could be off a year either way). Pretty rediculous that it took so long.

There was a huge rivalry with Milby (Milby sux!!!) where most of my friends went. My sister and I went to Austin because it was close to the university, where my Dad was a prof. I think it was supposed to be a little better academically, but not much. I was part of the little group of hippies who inhabited the place. Most of the students were Cowboys or Surfers... with the great majority being somewhere in between and influenced by one or the other. Or both. (in other words, except for my little group, nondescript!)

I always thought that was a cool name for a school... I graduated from Huntsville in 1980, but I think we may have played Kashmere a few times in hoops.

Bellaire, class of 1993. There are a couple more BHS alums around the board, too. Our football team sucked, but we did have alot of national merit scholars. :)
