Is anyone else out there a big fan of Pho? I've been hooked on the stuff for the last few years, but I really crave it when the weather is a little cold like this. Lately I've been going to Pho de Lat which is on Tidwell right at 290. Some others that I thought were pretty good were Pho Saigon and Pho Binh. Can anyone else suggest some other places I should try out?

go to Milam and Travis in downtown. Pho 21 there is the best. they fill the bows with oodles of noodles and they're not shiesty with the meat either. I do have one warning for you though: use the restroom and wash your hands at home before you go. trust me, you don't wanna step into their RR.

Well you can get it with just about anything in it. It's basically just a noodle soup, and comes with various types of meat. I'm just an unadventurous white boy, so I usually get it with either steak or white meat chicken. You can then spice it up to your liking with things like hot sauce, bean curd, and soy sauce.

I'll have to try it at Mai's next time I go out that way. Haven't been there in about a year.

I love the stuff, pho sure.

I'd have to vote for Mai's, but I haven't been there in a while. :( Pho in San Francisco is almost non-existent for some reason.

MadMax, you should give it another try some day at a different spot. It's especially good on a cold rainy day, I think.

I can not even eat food in the same room as people who are eating Vietnamese food or Indian food. To me, they both resemble dog food mixed with dirt. As someone who suffers from severe GERD, these foods smell like they are going to rip out my esophagus and intestines.

Does anyone eat at these Korean Restaurants in Spring Branch? I really would like to find a good one. I tried one on Gessner called Nam Gang. It was pretty good, but I really didn't know what to order.

Tau Bay in the Hoa Binh mall on Travis is good. Waitress is pretty.

Pho 21 off Fuqua is good. Two attractive waitresses. 1 hot one.

Tau Bay in Bellaire has very good Pho Tai, with fresh meat served on a little dish to the side for you to "cook" when you are ready. Waitress is average (last visit), but many hot properties nearby on family-style tables. I always enjoy visiting there and the Thai Spice express nearby. Good scenery.

Van loc is ok. Mai's is not so good. Other things are better there.
