Couple of Notes:
  • Please post audio links here or communicate them in the chat room.

Can we redeem ourselves? Maybe we might see another slow game. We'll see.

Blowout loss to the Spurs barring some actual teamplay led by Francis and Yao growing some balls and playing like a true big man. The Rockets got away with a bunch of non-calls in the game and were playing their style of defense the whole night, but I don't expect the same non-whistles to go against the Spurs like last night. The home team always gets to decide the tempo of the game whether it getting a bunch of ticky tack calls for the whole night or getting away with agressive handchecks, slaps for the ball, and bodying up like last night. The Rockets played their style of ball last night and lost, and while the Spurs aren't much different in defensive style than the Rockets, they'll get even more calls going their way then before.

Man, I brought the family to see that fiasco last night. Hope Yao can bring his 22/20 energy tomorrow-- he surely didn't have it last night. And SF, sheesh...

Last night's "game" was a sellout, but there were many empty seats in the TC. Particularly noticeable were the completely empty luxury boxes. Seems like, if folks know they aren't gonna make the game, there ought to be some sort of incentive for them to free up their seats-- like those last-minute, cheap Broadway tix you can get on Times square. Just a thought. We need to fill those stands and buy crap so maybe, just maybe, we'll be able to buy us a point guard.

We're gonna win. I guarantee it. If we don't, I promise I won't create any Cynthia Cooper bashing threads anymore.

I'll just participate in them

Win or lose, they have to play with intensity. If they put on another "half-ass" performance, well, I may have to take a break from the Rockets and this board. I am to the point, I see no value in watching them, too frustrating. I know, don't let the door hit me on the way out. It's good to be appreciated. Come on Rockets, isn't it time to give the fans something to get excited about, like making a shot, running a break, dribbling without a turnover, passing without turnover, rebounding without a turnover......... This team plays uglier than any team with a winning record I have ever seen at any level. If you didn't know the score, just by watching you would think the Rockets had not won a game.

The Rockets haven't won in San Antonio for years. If there is one thing they've proven so far this season, it's that they are completely incapable of beating any of the west's good teams anywhere. The Rockets will be pounded.

Rockets: 69
Spurs: 109

I hope this one is better.

San Antonio's finally back to their hgame, and their streak will continue till they reach the top of the division.

Rockets 77
Spurs 85

We drop to the bottom after this game

Screw the Midwest!
